    Come and get it

For that cheap at a dealer? What aren't they telling? Heck you can get $1500.00 from the gov if it's a gross polluter.

    ingition key stuck in!

Here it can be anything they want, guess it depends on the flavor of the day. Parents aren't like the old school. Think any of our parents would put up with the new crap? Andrea Bocelli is a great Opera singer. Sorry if I crossed any lines

    ingition key stuck in!

You could actually get a 425hp 409 in 63. I had one in a 58 impala with a Muncie 4 behind it, 2 Carter AFBs and would put valve rockers through the valve cover if you overwound them. that was a fast car, but would break all kinds of parts. I used to have 2 valve covers on the garage wall with...

    ingition key stuck in!

Many of the trucks will have the key get stuck when the ignition is worn a bit. Will need to replace the ignition switch. I had this happen with my 93 Silverado and it stuck in the On position. I had to remove the steering wheel and replace the switch.

Wanting to lower a 2wd c1500 and looking for suggestions

I did replace one lock and removed /installed one doorlock actuator/ Seems you have to the rod in just right for assembly to work right. My drivers door lock just lost the snapring and now is stuck in the socket for the lock.. I'll have to take the door apart again to fix that. I had a bit...

    Audio System Recommendations?

You used to be able to go Kicker.com and they had the sizes and measurements for sealed and ported boxes for all their subs. I built my own boxes for 2 12" kicker CompVR dual voice coil subs, they barely fit behind the seats on my 93 short They gave me the sizes for air space needed and how...

    CD player

Now I too am an older guy that wants to play my cds in the truck. Put in one of those single din setups and really don't care for it being in the middle of the dash. Makes you have to lean over to change anything, I guess the remote solves that. I just can't see why they don't make one that...

Wanting to lower a 2wd c1500 and looking for suggestions

I got the grill at LMS. I wanted a stock one but they were on backorder and the chrome one was only $10.00 more . It was an easy install everything lined up nice. I think the only thing i had a problem with was my bug shield wouldn't fit right , wouldn't let the hood shut. The bug shield...

Wanting to lower a 2wd c1500 and looking for suggestions

This is my 93 Silverado fleetside shorty standard cab with a 2 4 drop. 2" spindles in the front, stock springs and hanger/shackles drop in the rear. I run 275x60x15 all around on 15x8 American Racing wheels and it rides great. The Belltech spindles do push the wheels out a bit and I had to...

    Keep your OBS

Each brand has its problems, like spark plugs blowing out in fords. Since I got my 93 Silverado in 96 it has lost an alternator, starter, and 1 trans. With 172k on the speedo and proper maintenance I consider myself lucky. The paint wasn't completely trashed , but had it painted anyway and...

    Budget headers

If my memory serves me right, everything in a business can be written off, But labor. And you are taxed on physical inventory so some places will throw away stock to avoid paying tax. Either way it is a mess. Here in Cali property taxes can go up 2% every year. It is all a headache we can do...

96 Tahoe Heater Only Blows Warm Air

I absolutely use for every vehicle I have seen as you have that it takes a bit for all the air to get out. Some have no heater until all the air is bled. Love the no-spill and plenty of adapters for a good seal.

96 Tahoe Heater Only Blows Warm Air

I have used these funnels and had amazing luck on vehicles that would not bleed otherwise.

BIZARRE end to the hunting/stumbling idle issue on my ‘95.

I try to get a parts house that has someone who actually knows about trucks , someone trustable that will be honest about what you are getting. Unfortunately most of the counter guys don't know squat about parts so we are on our own. I can remember getting guys to cross refernce shocks and...

How to i figure out how much my truck has been lowered?

Those look like Ac/Delco shocks definitely not Highjackers and please change those brake lines on the front they are cracked quite a bit. Like was said have someone reweld the C plates. Might have to go with stock hangers on the rear after doing the flip.

1993 Silverado replacing the dash questions

I think you already said the blend door actuators. The one above the throttle is easy the other 2 can be a nightmare. the plastic gear inside cracks and then they won't turn. Truck looks nice and the work is right on. I know i am late to the show. I went through all this with my 93 Silverado...
