6.5L engine cranks but won't start, after being degreased and power washed.

Current PMD is mounted below a heatsink, below the blue circle. I will buy another one that's a better quality like you guys suggested, thanks everyone.

6.5L engine cranks but won't start, after being degreased and power washed.

We've figured it out, I'm sorry guys. The PMD died and we replaced it with another one. Afgtewr replacing it, it started up like new.

6.5L engine cranks but won't start, after being degreased and power washed.

I degreased and power washed the engine bay of my truck at a garage, and after doing so, I headed back home. It did shut down on me once as I was driving, but started back up again smoothly. I headed back home without any incidents occurring. At home, I parked on an upright hill, I turned off...

    Large leak under engine. 6.5L

I found out what the leak is! It is, in fact, power steering fluid. It was almost impossible to get down in there and remove the cap, but after I removed it, it was bone dry. I refilled it with PS fluid and now my truck sounds brand new. I had to squirt the PS fluid in there so ended up losing...

    Large leak under engine. 6.5L

Absolutely no smell. I never changed the gear oil before. But at least something to have noted. I think I found where the PS tank is, it’s buried underneath all this snow plow stuff. Quite funny how I didn't see it. I will check tomorrow to see if it's full.

    Large leak under engine. 6.5L

Brake fluid seems to be fine. In fact, I mistook the brake fluid tank for the power steering at first because it's right behind the steering wheel, but it's in fact for the brakes. Can’t be coolant either, coolant is much runnier and waterier. I just hope it's not transmission oil, although that...

    Large leak under engine. 6.5L

Hello! Here to provide an update. We can definitely rule out that it is not diesel that is leaking. As someone said earlier, diesel is very easily identifiable. Thanks for that tip. What appears to be leaking is something that is similar to vegetable oil. Yellow and clear. It has no smell at...

    Large leak under engine. 6.5L

Here we go. As per the power steering issue, the steering wheel feels totally normal. It's just that when I turn sharply to the right, sometimes it makes a whining noise that gets louder with the engine. It sounds as if it's low on power steering fluid, but idk where the heck to check it. The...

    Large leak under engine. 6.5L

I discovered a massive leak, which I believe can be either diesel fuel or power steering fluid. Recently my truck has been making some weird whining noises once in a while when I steer hard to the right, and can get louder as the engine revs up. This what makes me believe it's power steering...

    Interior lighting issue?

I figured what's giving me this lighting issue is actually the stock radio that's in my truck. Every time I go to turn on the radio, it messes up the lighting and the radio itself doesn't work as it should. Ever since I left the radio alone, the lighting works as usual, it's just that it stays...

Radio and Interior Lights no longer working properly

So basically what started off as a small issue has now become something out of hand. I have a two door 96 K3500 with the stock radio, the original issue was that every time I opened the driver side door while I had the radio on, the radio would out of a sudden go up to 100% volume and then fade...

    Bad A/C compressor?

I determined that indeed I am getting inaccurate readings from my gauges, so I used a gauge from an A/C kit to see what my low pressure readings are. I'll post a video below, the readings after the 26 second mark shows the low pressure reading with the A/C turned OFF. Again, the accumulator does...

    Bad A/C compressor?

Alrighty I'm back. After replacing the condenser, accumulator, and orifice tube on my 2-door truck, I finally got my A/c to work... I think. The highest today only got to 61F so I really can't tell if my A/C is working properly but my gauges says both my low and high pressure lines are about 90...

How to replace an A/C condenser on a 6.5L diesel?

Thanks so much for your help guys, highly appreciate it. I successfully replaced the condenser and cleaned out the radiator, will provide a before and after. Question though, why is it that my pressures are at 90 and 90 PSI for both the high and low pressure? Could it be because the compressor...

How to replace an A/C condenser on a 6.5L diesel?

Great idea. I've seen images of the area between the condenser and radiator core becoming more like a bird's nest, so I assume mine could be like that too. A short drive and I can already feel so much heat coming from the front grill on a chilly 43F day.

How to replace an A/C condenser on a 6.5L diesel?

OK great. I hope to replace it myself next week so that I can determine whether the compressor is the reason why my truck has no A/C. I will update in the coming days, thanks for your help. Quick background: I've replaced a couple o rings, valves, and accumulator, and attempted to replace the...

How to replace an A/C condenser on a 6.5L diesel?

Great, thanks. Seems quite straight forward. I was trying to remove the orifice tube out but I couldn't get the connection off and I ended up kinging the bottom line open coming out of the condenser, honestly I should have left that tube alone. So basically just unmount both the two mini...

How to replace an A/C condenser on a 6.5L diesel?

Hello, so I unfortunately kinked open the low pressure line coming out of my A/C condenser and now I need to replace it. I have a general idea on how to remove the grill and some other parts but what about these two small radiators on each side of the grill? The video below video helps me a lot...

A/C compressor turns on and off?

PB blaster worked wonders. Thanks! Although I now got a bigger issue with having the replace the A/C condenser because I kinked open the low pressure line. I'll just start a new thread about this.

A/C compressor turns on and off?

Alright I'm back, sorry :( Honestly this is embarrassing but if it's not one thing, it's another. So I can't get this nut off at the end. I don't consider myself a weak guy but this nut won't loosen at all. Sprayed tons of WD40. Maybe I need to look for some other penetrating spray? What can you...

A/C compressor turns on and off?

It's all good, at least we know it's elsewhere. My truck is a 96 K3500 so I assume some stuff was charged. It's probably behind the grill as I saw in a couple videos.

A/C compressor turns on and off?

Sorry, I totally forgot about your earlier post... I'll check to see if it's by the firewall soon at the connection between the evaporator and accumulator. I'll head to the parts store to buy a couple wrenches. I'll leave the connection I was messing with alone.

A/C compressor turns on and off?

I tried to replace the orifice tube today and I wasn't successful. Tried to remove the grill but I don't have the tools to unscrew the small bolts holding the grill behind both turn signals until Friday, so I tried to unscrew the line that comes out of the bottom of the condenser from the right...
