    4WD HI/LO light blinking

    I have my transfer case apart right now and the shift motor rotates a plate which hits a sensor when engaged. Could it not be turning enough or a bad sensor switch.

    I have a 99 k2500 5.7 vortec and didn't need to add any extra PIDs to read the camoffset. Should be 0 plus or minus 2. Are sure the sensor is plugged in?

    Good eye. I saw that too. I don't know if that is something to worry about or not. Maybe from running low on lube? Part of me hopes I need to get a new one with 4.11 ratio, but would need the front too. The rest of me wants to update my boat.

    My truck does the same thing when plowing snow. Drive why lightly applying brakes on the street a few blocks and it goes away. I always assume wet brakes.

    3rd Rebuild on 98 5.7

    Were the oil cooler lines flushed out before the rebuilt engines were installed? Metal from the previous engine can lurk in there and take out the new engine. GM engines require the radiator be replaced or warranty void. Don't ask how I know.

    I had an 02 sensor wire touching the front driveshaft causing a small hole in the insulation. Caused problems every time in rained.

    Check the wiring to the O2 sensors. Mine did something similar any time the roads were damp. Wiring for O2 was touching front drive shaft and wore a hole in the wire insulation.
