Giving away, not shipping-Actually shipping to a member-They are gone

As much as my truck would greatly benefit from your generosity, that's a bit far for me to drive. Thank you for your kind offering. Just submitted and saw your response to @HotWheelsBurban and agree and support. :)

Well it's been a while with no updates --but then I haven't been able to work on the truck again until recently. A couple of you have mentioned that it could be the Cat box ---and you all were right! I replaced the Y-pipe w/Cat ---and took it in to have the smog test today. ---It PASSED...

Thanks TBI --I appreciate the help! I'm new to TunerPro --and I guess I have a rare ECM of sorts. But was able to get the right adx from Gearhead. I've been using the list view for logging --and it looks like I can rename rich/lean transitions to cross counts (as well as INT/BLM to short and...

Thanks TBI! I should mention I put in a heated O2 sensor --and I do see it go from OL to CL (not sure how to read the O2 range units in voltage in TunerPro yet) --but glad the INT/BLM look to be functioning properly. I don't know yet but Cross Counts may be listed in TunerPro as RiCH/LEAN...

Quick follow up --I haven't been able to work on the truck much due to the weather and not having time but I did set the timing back to zero with the bypass disconnected and then reconnected it. CEL lights are all clear again. On my 94 --the O2 sensor is on the Y pipe just before the CAT...

Welp...I backed off the timing 'and it seemed' to not smell as rich so I headed out to have it checked. There was a line all the way down the street at the DEQ, ---probably a dozen cars waiting to pull in from the street and that was just from my direction. Too long to wait --I'm sure it was...

Thanks guys! Quick question, would a clogged EGR manifold passage contribute to high HC? Right now, I'm not getting anymore EGR codes (or any codes --since I removed and cleaned the EGR valve). The only problem (I think) going on now is high HC. I have some time today --I think I'll try...

This is what it looked like when it was warmed up (see below) when it was cold --it had 'rich and open loop' idled higher and the O2 sensor was in the 800ish range (see bottom). Does any of this look like a problem? when cold:

Thanks Guys! I should have mentioned that I did a vacuum test on the EGR and it held okay. I took it out and cleaned it. I also pulled the EGR solenoid and the air-filter was pretty dusty. I cleaned that up and put it all back together --so far no EGR codes. I tried to upload the .xdl...

I realize I made a mistake --it passed CO but failed for HC. sorry for the confusion! I picked up an ALDL cable and TunerPro ---could you take a look at the sample xdl recordings? I've just set it up and got it working. Not sure what if anything looks like it might be causing the high HC.

    OBD1 code 32

I don't have an OBD1 scan tool --just an old OBD2 that doesn't appear to give live data --only freeze frame. I will keep an eye out for a deal though. It seems like a good thing to have since I like my truck. The cat is probably original --I did change the O2 sensor recently and put a three...

    OBD1 code 32

Hi Guys! Thanks for all the help so far --I appreciate your responses. Quick update --I took it in for a third emissions test and it still failed --but it is much closer now. I'll post up the results. It is still failing for HC. I should point out that this is all stock, no upgrades. The...

    OBD1 code 32

Hi Guys! I'm trying to figure out a random appearing code 32 on my 94 5.7L. I've pulled out the EGR valve and it looks pretty clean --it holds open with vacuum. How do I test the EGR solenoid? Should I be able to get an ohm reading between pnk/blk and blk/wht to test the coil? I was...

Hey Guys! I haven't gotten back to working on my truck until this week. It seems to run good but was not passing emission testing. It originally failed for HC and CO -- I then replaced the coolant sensor and MAP sensor and it passed HC but still failed for CO. I then did a tune up, new plugs...

I hope not --is there a way to check it? I'm guessing it is original. There's 107k on the clock. I'll take a look at it --just to make sure it's there..!

Just a quick update, since I cleared the codes they have not returned. I drove it around to get it good and warmed up. I checked and set the timing (it was a little off). --I also sprayed some WD-40 on the vacuum lines but it didn't seem to make a difference in how it was idling (seems to...

I haven't been able to get back to my truck all week. But I have checked the vacuum lines going to the EGR and solenoid. They look to be hooked up correctly. On mine (94) it has two ports on the same side --one large and one smaller. The other port is actually capped with a foam filter...

Thanks guys! I appreciate it! I will double check the vacuum lines --if I remember correctly, the EGR solenoid had two different size lines --the larger one went to the TBI and the smaller diameter went to the EGR valve --I'll look to see if I put them on the wrong solenoid fittings. I did...

Hello, I recently picked up a 1994 5.7 5 speed manual 5.7L 2500 truck. I've always wanted one of these and just now getting acquainted. I've been browsing this forum for a while which has been great! The truck runs and drives pretty good --but won't pass emission testing. It first failed for...
