How to use Tow/Haul shifter buttons to control Android radio

Very cool. Been meaning to update my single din to a double din. I think this would be a great upgrade. I've noticed a lot of the newer radios are much easier to program buttons for, just never thought of something like this. Thanks for the information

    1999 Tahoe Engine Code 430 and 442

Never had to drill them out. The ones you buy at the auto store you do need to drill, but the ones on ebay have a through hole the correct size of the o2 sensor...

Bought a K2500, wrong mileage, needs some work, advice?

Honestly in my opinion any truck over 175k is going to have these problems. **** if the truck made it that high and it runs fine, then you’re already in a good spot. What’s the difference between a high mileage truck with all new suspension and steering replaced and a 50k mile truck that’s been...

    1999 Tahoe Engine Code 430 and 442

I’ve always used the ones on eBay that come up when you search o2 spacer. Should be less than $10. They also make ones that have mini catalyst in them, but I’ve never tried them

How to wire power seats like stock?

No I totally agree with you. Why go through the work to install new parts or upgrades that will only need to be removed to be fixed in the future or will always be on the list of things to fix? I've got a bit on that list of thing to fix, but most haven't been a big enough problem to get fixed...

How to wire power seats like stock?

The seats probably could benefit from being cleaned and greased. They are not really meant to be fast. Definitely slower than modern car seats. As long as they move while you are sitting on them, I wouldn't be too worried about the speed. I think I adjusted the power seats in my 2500 twice and...

How to wire power seats like stock?

How many wires are running to the seat? I believe on older models, most time its just a power and a ground. If that's the case, you should be able to test out the seats before install to ensure they work and then just run a fused power to the seat and ground out the other on the seat frame

    New here from Gallatin, Tennessee

Beautiful looking truck. Everything about that just flows perfectly together. Makes me want to get a 2wd dually now

    2500 crew cab rebuild parts

I appreciate it. I still haven’t had anyone come look at it yet, but the more I think about it, the more likely I am to rebuild it. I’ll just have to wait for the snow to disappear and the ground to dry up first

    2500 crew cab rebuild parts

Thank you for the knowledge. I’d be surprised if the trucks were different from one another. There is a crew cab on market place for parts near me right now, but it’s always much harder to get them off than buy new replacements. Also I know this is most likely true, but it would probably be...

    2500 crew cab rebuild parts

I’ll update when I get a call. Should hear something by Monday. It looks like I could repair it myself. Figure I can get a head start on pricing parts out now

    2500 crew cab rebuild parts

Good deal on that SS. I’ve been wanting one for so long, but it’s impossible to find one around here in decent shape for 15k or less

    2500 crew cab rebuild parts

yes I wish I didn’t live in Ny either. Between the salt and the drivers it is hard to keep anything nice. I might still buy it back and keep it to fix or what not. Sucks that it was a perfectly running and driving vehicle that still runs and drives mostly fine now

    2500 crew cab rebuild parts

Great to know that. Just bummed about it since I’ve only had it for a few months and was looking forward to rebuilding it when the weather got nice. I guess I’ll see what check they cut me and how much it would be to buy it back

    2500 crew cab rebuild parts

Hi all. I woke up today to find out my truck was hit in the rear while parked. Besides the main and cosmetic body damage, it looks like the leaf spring and the hanger took the worst of everything. I’m not buying parts yet to fix it, just want to find out and know which parts are compatible...

    1999 Tahoe Engine Code 430 and 442

Good to know. My 06 Silverado had the same sensor for each so that’s what I figured was for the 400s as well. My 2500 doesn’t have rear o2 sensors and my 96 2wd only has the one rear and 3 primary sensors

    1999 Tahoe Engine Code 430 and 442

Anti fouler is a spacer for the O2 sensor to get it out of the stream of the exhaust gas. Tends to help with cats that are failing or missing completely since it reports a difference between the upstream and downstream sensors enough to make the computer happy. If you didn't mess with the cats...

Best tire size to go with for my K2500?

Can't go wrong with a 285 75 16. Too wide for me on the stock wheels, but with a 16x8, that should be perfect. Plus being a popular size, they are plenty of options and the pricing is probably the best bang for the buck. Currently have 275 55 20 on my 2500 and it loves it. Only a hair shorter...

    4" and it's only level?

Thank you. I was also foolish and didn’t measure how much of a drop I got before doing it. You can tell it’s definitely lowered from stock, but nothing too crazy. Not many lowered trucks where I live so just this minor look definitely makes it noticeable. Here’s a pic from when I bought it for...

    4" and it's only level?

Been meaning to reply and measure my truck, but have been forgetting to do it after work or before I go in (problem with working 12 hour shifts at night) my truck is sitting right around 17.25” from center of wheels all around. It’s parked on kind of an unlevel surface so I had to adjust my...

    4" and it's only level?

Also what size tire are you running now and what is the measurement from the ground (or center of the wheel) from the front and rear. I can compare it to mine, but your front end could be pretty sagged out being a 30 year old truck if the front coils were never replaced

    4" and it's only level?

Your truck looks good. I've never done shackles and a drop hanger, but the only thing that I could think of that would cause it not drop right would be if the shackle was not put on the lowest setting or if something is being hung up, whether its the shocks that aren't allowing it to drop or...

    4" and it's only level?

What kind of cab configuration do you have? When I dropped my truck I just pulled a leaf spring and then did 3" drop coils. It appears to sit pretty level. Yes not a great idea to pull a leaf spring on something that will haul or tow much, but for a budget drop it gets the job done

What type of rims are on your truck

Thank you. I like the look a lot and it came with the truck when I bought it too. Never been much of a fan of the allow wheels for the 2wds, but they do look good on some trucks
