    Fuel Pressure Regulator Bypass

Hey everyone, I'm looking to bypass my fuel pressure regulator on my MPFI assembly. Reason being is the fuel pressure use to be 58 psi at idle and raise from their accordingly for throttle input and boost. In the past that was around 58 psi to 65 psi. Now the regulator is maintaining a constant...

Past Trades: 1981 K1500 to 1949 Plymouth Club Coupe

Yes they didn't come in as K1500 my bad on the typo. I guess this truck would fall in the K20 platform but those didn't come in the 3/4 ton axels either for a half ton truck so split some more hairs there. The axles where indestructible though. I enjoyed that truck thoroughly.

    My Old SRT-4

Be sure to tell you're brother if he doesn't want it to ride like a bag of bricks to stay away from coil overs. My old blue one had the "good" BC coilovers and it rode like crap. My red one is almost 100% stock and has a stock suspension and struts. Rides like a dream for a 4 door sedan.

    My Old SRT-4

Like most cars, if they've not been abused by the youth and taken care of then they're great cars. Two years into owning mine the only thing it's wanted was a front right abs sensor. Been rock solid since, it's now 117,*** miles.

    My Old SRT-4

This old lump of coal is my past 2003 SRT-4. I purchased it from a guy who had it built by a SRT-4 enthusiast in San Antonio, TX named PJB Werks. Pretty cool group of guys. I follow them on Facebook at times. They have some pretty nasty neons pushing past 800hp. This car when I purchased it was...

Past Trades: 1981 K1500 to 1949 Plymouth Club Coupe

It does still have the flat 6. The original owner wanted to put a Scat Pack Hemi in it and transform it into a resto-mod for his Father but ended up changing his mind. He had receipts for the car that I saw that totaled past $28K, Pearl Essence White paint, $10K in interior restoration and...

Past Trades: 1981 K1500 to 1949 Plymouth Club Coupe

Pictured are a few of my past rides. I had the 81' K1500 since I was 16, it was my first vehicle. I've restored it to it's pictured condition. Build list below...I winded up wanting something the Wife and kids could ride along and enjoy with me. Along came the 49' Plymouth! I fell in love with...

    HP Tuners

I scrounged through HP tuner's website and found my answer. For those interested, the 0411 PCM can run with speed density. Supposedly the 98-99 LS1 engine file runs a speed density availability alongside a 24X set-up. I'll download that file once I purchase the HP tuners dongle ect. To run speed...

Noise in my transfer case? 1998 K1500 Suburban

I would get a bearing/race puller. There's no easy way to get that out. If you're concerned with damaging it, check to see if it's damaged. It may be better to leave it if it's looking healthy. That oil pump tab is what I remember going out and killing things. Did you have a replacement for that...

    HP Tuners

I was able to get ahold of Lextech and get our PCM pin-out for the 96' truck to 0411 for $20. Next step is to do some research. I'm looking to run the truck on the 0411 PCM with HP tuners. I would like to run the engine off of speed density and a 3 bar MAP sensor and IAT sensor. Does anyone have...

    Performance help

Are you looking to keep it fuel injected? If you ordered a vortec style 350 SBC I would re-install everything from the old vortec engine (intake up) and run that set-up. If the new engine has a larger duration cam from stock then you would be getting into the weeds of what you'll need to do...

Noise in my transfer case? 1998 K1500 Suburban

I had this exact same symptom happen to a 2000 escalade I owned back in 2012. Same problem too! Carrier bearing went out due to a common problem in a manufacturer defect. I forgot the exact issue but something about a retaining tab can break off and get up into the bearings causing premature...

    Fuel pump includes sending unit?

Usually the hangar assembly can be purchased as a whole. It will come with a fuel pump already installed, and the fuel level sending unit. The Delphi line of parts work well for the GMT400 platform. I've purchase a new hanger from Delphi for my current 96' K1500. I swapped out the fuel pump for...

I need to buy a scope...

You can also look into used Fluke Biomedical scopo-meters if you want to invest in a quality piece. Even the 80's era scopes are pretty decent and the new ones will auto adjust for frequency and voltage. I use Fluke often when repairing medical equipment (my primary job). May not have the most...

    Facebook scam?

There's a few aftermarket aluminum heads out there from Raptor Engines, Summit and AFR that may be able to take 0.575" lift. A cast iron stock set of heads accepting 0.575" lift is iffy. Most will mill the spring seat and valve guide boss down or install a different set of keepers and retainers...

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

Has anyone been able to reach out to Lextech in a while? I'm looking to go the 0411 route but emails and PMs have not been fruitful. I'm looking to get the pin outs for a 96' L31 platform to the 02' Express Van and I'm willing to pay for the excel spread sheet. At this point I'm leaning towards...

I am looking to Turbocharge my 98 Tahoe, How should I prepare my engine, what mods do I need/would be recommended.

I think a better look into the project would be to lay a bunch of the usual culprit items needed on the table to build this turbo set-up. That and understanding the hurdles needed to overcome obstacles in the way. Here's an initial parts list you should shop for but I may be able to give a...

What did you do to your street truck today?

I replaced the door bushings, installed treasure yard sun visors, swapped out the molded front bumper for a smoothie bumper and finally got around to adjusting my headlights. Also just fought through setting timing with a OBDII dongle and got that set-up right. Next is to find a random noise in...

NV3500 rebuild clutch and parts recommendation please

I've also went the route of a Luk clutch off of RockAuto. I also bought a new pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing ect. as well. The clutch has the stock feel and travel of an OEM set. I recommend bleeding the hydraulic line with new fluid. I drive my truck hard and have done 4...

    1996 LS400 “build”

How did you find it? I've used the look in the dark method and if I couldn't see any arcing I'd spray misty water at parts of the spark plug wires where arcing could occur.

    1996 LS400 “build”

I remember replacing the front main seal on these engines. Not fun, wasn't expecting to be that in-depth of a job for the ask of a friend. I was impressed at how well and smooth the engine ran though. Reeved up very smoothly and had a pretty good ride to it.

    Daily driver/beater 2007 charger

I have an blue 09' Charger in my yard that I'm parting out. It's in good condition for the body and panels minus the driver side fender and rear spoiler that's been parted out. I'm looking to sell it. No rust, and I have the 3.5 HO V6 apart in the attic. It just needs a new set of rods and it'll...

96' L31 timing and crank relearn

This is a new AC Delco unit and I haven't seen any misfires or cross firing from it. Unit has less than 4,000 miles since the engine rebuild. The wires would be my first suspicion for cross firing. That's why I bought the Taylor 8.8mm wires.

96' L31 timing and crank relearn

Just found a PID that shows cam retard. Initially it was showing 17 degrees retarded. Moved it to get it locked in at 0.0*-0.3* she's running good again.
