If you wanted to show someone a picture. How do you go about it?

I usually text/email/message them. But sometimes I show them in person. If you meant here on this forum? If the file is too big for the website, use either something likr imgur to uplaod, then link to them. OR screenshot your own photo ,and then attempt to send the screenshot instead of the...

    Trans Temperature gauge

-38 sounds like an open circuit for the trans sensor, hopefully its wiring external to the trans because you need to crack it open to change it. But that would explain odd shifting behavior if your pCM thinks the trans is -38 degrees

    Trans Temperature gauge

TFT sensor is in the 1996 4l60e , its also on the OBD2 broadcast, but I dont remember what it calls it in the menus. TFT is the possible name it may use for what it is. it should follow, gernall, engine running temp, but ideally lower Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor is a negative...

    High output alternator

you got the wrong one, try again. There are numerous AD244 alternator case designs out there, but cars with FWD usually got an AD237 not an AD244. But not all of them. RWD engines setups like these trucks will usually have the 2 ear setup for mounting.

    AD244 ALTERNATOR UPGRADE--> HELP!!??

turn it upside down, does the mounting pads now exist in the same plane( as in, youre able to rotate it closer to the mounting hole?) the alternator pictured doesnt have a standard mounting ear setup, it has a offset on the one side that is meant to minimize vibrations and stuff for a different...

    Dumb door hinge idea

a big one is the door being used by people to get in and out.. as much as I understand how people need help in and out.. the door is the worst thing to use because of that. I just kinda leap in my silverado but it does have a deezee bar on it. without that, i would probably repair the rocker...

    Running a heavier oil

Do you live in a warm climate, if you do, SAE 30 or SAE 40 would be best in an aircooled engine especially for hot temps

Anyone have experience with gmt800 trucks?

Ive been personally victimized by the CII. No one victimzes a CII. Jk, but mine had a harsh beginning life. The thing about the C2 is they inherently suck and are very inefficient and make a LOT of heat and they have less capacity than even saginaw P pumps on gms have so the fluid is just...

Anyone have experience with gmt800 trucks?

yes, since so many were covered in so much grime I actually used about 3 steps to clean them all. Wire wheel attachment to clear majoirty, then some degreaser wipes to the area to clear the rest, then used an old 12v test light which is broken and stabbed into the push ball and forced it to let...

What makes these trucks destroy distributor caps/rotors?

the engines were made in mexico to begin with so it would make sense, south of the border kinda thing Afterall, NAFTA just kicked in and it was all the rage to send stuff down there along with our jobs

What makes these trucks destroy distributor caps/rotors?

the 292 was only the base engine in the upper weight trucks like C3500 etc, and of those most prob went to fleet/chassis cab sales, and then anyone with pickups prob went to a diesel or 454 So while available not that common, and because of the c30 thing, im sure they barely changed it...

    Best cold air intake?

Could you just buy one of these dumb things, use the air filter as a funny hat, and then at that point design or find another part you could put onto the smooth tube with a gaping opening, to bring the system to the fender or core support, And then work up an air filter there? perhaps a gen III...

What front license plate does everyone run?

wisconsin wants you to have front plates, and if you get pulled over twice for it the cops start to really target you because youre easy pickings. People will die on a hill to not use a front plate and the cops are happy to just keep writing violations. Its the law here, so I dont play around...

What makes these trucks destroy distributor caps/rotors?

not sure to be honest, I dont know much about the CCC or early TBI esc. I know a bit more about the pre-CCC but still ESC large cap distributors with extra wires but went to a standalone module, they were pretty crude functioning.

What makes these trucks destroy distributor caps/rotors?

Computer Command Control yes indeed, a lot of them had ESC as well built into their setups. very crude but kinda impressive. Very small amount of corrective ability compared to even TBI

What makes these trucks destroy distributor caps/rotors?

with a suspected bad distributor cap, take a single spark plug wire and put one end of a DVOM in the end by the plug Then, with it on OHMS setting, use the other lead on each of the other spark plug wire ends by the plug. Do you get anything but "OL" or infinite resistance? Cap has failed if...
