    Low Voltage Issue

This is also helpful, currently in Truckee CA, but when I'm back in Texas I'll give this a shot. Assuming alternator tests out good and voltage at battery to ground is weaker, what does that tell me?

    Low Voltage Issue

When I start it up, volt meter reads between 9 and 12. Headlights are a little dim and the voltage drops lower when I turn them on. I'll replace those grounds. Thanks for the help.

    Low Voltage Issue

Hey y'all. I have a 1992 Blazer I'm working on. POS when I got it and I'm trying to diagnose a low voltage lssue now that it's running. Alternator tested bad, along with a broken power wire so I replaced the alternator and re-joined the split power wire. Starter was weak so I went ahead and...

    Rag Joint Delete??

I used the same borgeson shaft. I did not file a file a flat spot over the splines in case I had to warranty the box out, which I did and I would not have been able to if I filed. I have been running it that way for about a year now. I periodically check it and have had no issues. I tightened it...

    Finally got one! 1992 Blazer/factory 5 speed

Thanks for that; and no problem. I am selling my current daily (the 94' Blazer) but have a 2001 1500 (seen in the background of pic #2) that has assumed daily driving duties while the 94 is up for sale and should I need them, a few other less exciting options.

    Finally got one! 1992 Blazer/factory 5 speed

for some reason, the first part of your comment was blacked out until now. And that was probably a good thing. I will build my truck exactly as I see fit. I have 2 other daily driver quality trucks to drive and given that I have safe, viable options, this one will sit under the car port while I...

    Finally got one! 1992 Blazer/factory 5 speed

A 5 speed 2 door tahoe/blazer has been my dream truck since I was in high school. I have a 94' Blazer but it's an auto and is being sold in order to build this one. This truck is in BAD shape. Some rust holes here and there, oil and trans leaks, suspension and brakes are toast and it is in...

Is the blue one still available?

    Rag Joint Delete??

I used the borgeson on my truck but the cunningham machine is just as good if not better because it is powder coated and will not rust like the borgeson as it is bare metal.

Light Blue 1994 Chevy Blazer 4x4

After a few parts store gearboxes and a couple steering shafts that were the wrong part, thank you autozone, I finally settled on a blue top gear and a borgeson universal shaft with some new power steering lines and now she steers like my 01 and is leak free. I sure was getting tired of swapping...

    Just Curious

Does anyone have 350/5 speed that they daily? I got an amazing offer on my blazer and have my eye on another one with a five-speed but I'm just trying to get an idea of what it's like to daily a 350/5 speed. Is it a particularly firm clutch? Are they generally strong and reliable transmissions...

    Lund Lighted Moonvisor Wanted

Does anyone have one of these in nice shape that they would sell at a reasonable price point (bonus points if it is blue)? On ebay these things are going for upwards of 200-250 bucks in terrible shape and I just cant justify spending that on a deteriorated item. It's a long shot but if anyone...

Light Blue 1994 Chevy Blazer 4x4

If you are referring to a manual transmission... I actually bought a 95 two door/5 speed before having this Blazer. I bought it from a guy up in Jackson Mississippi and he tragically toataled it on his way to meet the transport truck driver that was headed to me in texas. The manual transmission...

Light Blue 1994 Chevy Blazer 4x4

They’re definitely out there! But the sad truth is that the Broncos sold much better than the Blazers and they didn’t really catch on until they got the updated interior and the tahoe badging... if you are seriously looking for one, give Facebook marketplace a try... I found mine listed on...

    Play in Steering...

We get them through the shop I work at, and often we have to do the job twice because of a bad gearbox. I am unsure of the brand. I've been sort of avoiding that as an option as I really don't want to do the job again... I did lift it and rebuilt the suspension and it was much worse when I first...

I’ve already replaced the whole shaft and the new one substitutes the rag joints out for universal joints.
