Chevrolet tailgate band replacement

I am looking to replace my tailgate band and LMC is out of stock. The Parts Place sells them, is it OEM like LMC ? Has anybody purchased one from The Parts Place ?

Do the motor mounts need to be removed for engine removal ?

Or just seperated by lifting the engine after removing the long bolt that holds the halves together ? The truck is a 97 K1500.

Need advice on replacing rear main

I have a 97 K1500 with 198,000 miles. I want to replace the rear main myself, I have an engine hoist, engine stand, transmission jack and all the other needed tools. The two important things I don't have much of is space in the garage and experience. Would it be easier to pull the engine or drop...
