    Favorite beer

I’m a bit of a degenerate and I’ll drink whatever’s strongest generally. Never been a fan of beer but once I’ve had a few I seem to like them all for some reason lol

    Brake Upgrades

Think a lot of people are running stainless lines that came with lift kits, I know Rough Country throws in braided stainless with their liftkits.

    Rear Diff Cover for Cooling..

Considering 90% of these gmt400s on the road have probably been running the same rear end fluid for 10+ years this sounds like a plan LOL.

    Brake Upgrades

Make sure you factor in your rotors when selecting upgraded pads, I've heard bad things about mixing pad/rotor material and quality, for instance if you have cheapo rotors and high end aggressive pads, your rotors will be chewed a lot quicker than usual (or vice versa), and other things of this...

Any idea what this is clamped to my rear axle?

Could use a balance *sticks tire weights inside dent* There good as new!

    The Stupid Engine Questions Thread

98 K1500 5.7L 4L60E If I want more power (truck is prob 250 to the wheels or less right now-not looking for anything over 350 realistically), what should I do? Re-gear is on the docket as my tires are larger than stock, but we are in the engine section, so what should I/could I do to make a bit...

    BAD Vibration in rear end

If they need changed, don't think they're that much of a pain to get to especially rears. I think they're $30-50 each so no need to throw away $.

    Near-factory AUX switch

Wonder if the guys who are 3d printing dash/trim parts could do an AUX button? Don't know the @ off the top of my head, but theres a thread on here somewhere, and they've taken requests previously.

Any idea what this is clamped to my rear axle?

Now that makes sense, not like they're hurting anything right there.

Any idea what this is clamped to my rear axle?

Would the shackles ever be that far inboard? I was thinking that as well but I couldn't see why they'd be there lol.

    Local Mom & Pop Vendors

I'd have turned around and walked out, plenty of places to get an alignment, and most people can't afford to have their rig down all day, especially a weekday. I mean if the engine was about to blow maybe I'd put up with that but just for an alignment? Thats some BS, gotta vote with your $$$...

    Upholstery Pattern

Gonna need a passport from the looks of it too LOL

    The Neverending GMC Repair

Never seen a Delphi part assigned a "line" before, although I've only ever used/sold their fuel pumps. Didn't know they got bought by BW but I think that makes me like them even more haha. Basically if Delphi makes a fuel pump for your rig its a decent one - I can't speak on any of their other...

    Damn you Monroe!

Remember the shocks thread from a few weeks ago? I guess we can declare Gabriel the winner lol.

    Local Mom & Pop Vendors

Not necessarily a supplier, but there is a local electrician, and not just any electrician, specifically an AUTOMOTIVE electrician, this is in a town with like 15k people. Incredible resource in an area where most people drive an old rig with at LEAST 1 "obsolete" electrical part, these guys can...

    Tire size

If you chop the fenders/bumpers I don't see why 37s aren't possible. The offset might get you, if you're trying to tuck em.

    The Neverending GMC Repair

Delphi = Tier 1 Supplier for OEMs so yes good brand. EDIT: EVERYTHING is made in China or Mexico, but if GM or Ford trusts Delphi then I do too.

    Upholstery Pattern

I'd go to the treasure yard and buy a junk seatcover for like $50 and let him get pattern from that.

    The Neverending GMC Repair

The ICMs do just crap out, especially aftermarket ones, keep a spare in the glovebox. My truck bogged down 3/4 the way up a bridge, was making just enough power to basically rev up to 2k rpm and sit still on the bridge, but not enough to turn the wheels, then the motor died and I started...

    WIPER FLUID WON'T PUMP

Did you clean em with contact cleaner or anything? Scrape em off with a screwdriver? Dielectric grease to help prevent more water intrusion?

PS request - 1500 Emblem on my door?

My vote is for making the moulding emblems work, I think it looks odd any other way on these, alternatively on either side of the hood scoop if you do get a tall-ish scoop.

    LT Headers Hitting Shift Linkage

Most likely torch + hammer, pretty tried and true way to make headers fit.

    Alldata.com

They should probably go after OEMs' CORE return policies, OEMs intentionally charge COREs on parts that are likely to go into reproduction via aftermarket companies, so that its harder for aftermarket companies to get their hands on them to recondition/reverse engineer. If an OEM intends to...
