    Transfercase question VSS

I don’t have a 97 transfercase, it’s from the 94, it should be the same as the 97 minus the sensor

    Transfercase question VSS

I would think a difference in teeth ( if there were any) would be a difference in accuracy not whether it works or doesn’t.

    Transfercase question VSS

I installed my 1994 k2500 nv4500 transmission and transfercase in my 1997 k3500. The speedo doesn’t work. Should I get one for a 1997 or should it make no difference and maybe the 1994 speed sensor is bad?

    Rear axle question

I am swapping everything over. I have all the parts I need available. The entire front end will move over. With it, the rear axle will be swapped. Last week I’ve swapped the engine and with it every wiring harness, relay, computer and dash . I love the 454

    1989 Chevy 350 out- 1994 Chevy 454 in - got a question now

Thank you for searching, but as I said before, all of the trucks wiring has been replaced with wires from the 1994. But the wiring issue is fixed

    Rear axle question

As I probably wasn’t clear enough, I have a 3 speed manual transmission. The 454 drives very nicely, it’s got good torque, that’s for sure. I want the other axle mostly for the 8 lug hubs and 14 bolt full float. I am going to get a set of HMMWV wheels. They are 37x12.5 16.5” that’s equivalent to...

    Rear axle question

now that my 89 k2500 has a TBI 454 swapped in it. I am eye balling the 8 bolt fully float rear axle with limited slip and 4.10 gearing. Now I’m not sure if it’s a good idea, being that I have a 3 speed manual transmission, so no overdrive. Right now I have a 3.73 I’m not doing much highway...

    1994 DRAC question

I got the issue figured, one connector was laying on top of the transmission- unplugged!!! Haha Thanks for your all’s info, it helped troubleshooting the issue.

    1994 DRAC question

Could someone verify this ? On a 1994 Chevy k2500 DRAC, is there one or two connectors plugged in? My harness has one connector and I can’t remember taking two off and I can’t find another connector

    1989 to 1994 swap

Swapped in the 454, most of the stuff works now. Still no Speedo. Was working before the swap. Swapped the engine harness and dash harness from the 1994 into the 89. Now does the speed sensor change from the earlier model? Should I try and swap in the later model transfer case wiring harness...

    1989 Chevy 350 out- 1994 Chevy 454 in - got a question now

I found it on the dash harness side, but I couldn’t find where it connects on the other harness. It was midway , think. Does it reach toward the cluster or towards the ECU, Sir?

I thought the temp sender is in front by the thermostat. I’ll check between 1 and 3 tomorrow. You did read where I said that I M using the 94 dash wiring harness. It had a white box connected. I thought that is theDRAC

    1989 Chevy 350 out- 1994 Chevy 454 in - got a question now

After swapping the fuel pump harness and the dash harness, the engine fired right up. So now most of the wiring is from the 1994 k2500, while going on a drive , I noticed the Speedo doesn’t work and the water temp gauge doesn’t work . Does the 94 have a different speed sensor than a 89. I never...

    1989 Chevy 350 out- 1994 Chevy 454 in - got a question now

I believe it is the horn wire. The fuel pump is activated by the ignition Key and runs for three seconds or so, without the engine running. We didn’t have that at first. With the dash wires and fuel pump wiring from the donor truck it fired right up

    1989 Chevy 350 out- 1994 Chevy 454 in - got a question now

So the 454 is in. Had to use the 94 engine harness. Can someone point out what these wires go to? Tried to fire up the engine , but no fuel, one of these wires must be to the fuel pump. I will replace the dash harness for the 94 harness, too. But shouldn’t the truck fire up without that right...
