    i'm fully confident, that the tranny was responsable for cracked carrier. that tranny shifted violently, i would brace myself when shift coming. it would startle passengers. they would ask, did you just hit something? id say yup, 2nd gear.

    i should add, that i took out the offending tranny, gave it back. and built the snot outta my origanal tranny. i put every upgrade, used the red alto clutches, ext.ext. the important thing is while i still made a firm shift, the accumalaters are still in line to obsorb the shock. it works great...

    i took care of the problem, i found a 95 parts truck, with a 14 bolt, 6 lug, 9 1/2 ring gear. bigger brakes, bigger springs. then i installed a eaton tru-trac locker. did i say bigger brakes. wow it will stop on a dime.

    Lot of oil leaking from bellhousing area

    its a no brainer, stick your finger in it and smell it, if its tranny fluid, front seal gone, or dipstick tube leaking. if motor oil, then rear main, or oil filter leaking. if filter or tube, easy fix. if other your screwed.

    finally find the time to reassemble my nv4500 tranny. rebuild kit, plus 3rd gear, pilot shaft, counter shaft. this in my 98 k2500. the other day, im driving my 89 z71 to a funaral, started making bumping, when i step on gas, stops when i coast. now what. now im driveing my 3rd pickup.
