How much do you think it is worth as is? 124k, 7.4l, manual trans, 4x4, headers, short throw shifter, intake, new plugs, wires, cap, Bosh injectors, front tires 2 weeks old
Got stuck, redlined 10x or so getting out. Oil pressure dropped to about 20 psi drove home as to about 1 mile from the house psi =0 , held rpm about 1k at stop light etc. Died in my yard. Cranked next morning was fine till about 150* temp, dropped to 6-7 psi cut it off. Changed oil & filter...
Looking for location from what I have seen people say it is by the distributor on drivers side or by the oil filter housing. I have not been able to spot it. Does intake manifold have to be removed to change this?
I never replied back, I have not refilled coolant in over a year when I flushed and none appeared to leak out over the past 4x I drove it so it must just be a slow leak. I can live with that just going to check regularly now.
@454cid the leak is at the back 2 cylinders. Coolant is sitting on top of where the headers mount to the head. Coolant smell also. Could the leak be coming from back side of lower intake?

Letting truck warm up and then doing a pull out on the hwy now it appears I have a coolant leak.
It does not look to be leaking into oil or leaking from upper intake gasket. Could it be lower intake gasket...
I found reverse light switch on drivers side on the top about midway and there is no pigtail or connector. No problem I will get a new one but I do not know where the pigtail connects to or where it should plug into if I can find one from a junkyard
ok following up finally. I put Gibson shorty headers on I got from a local junkyard and have egr delete. Not having any problem with truck dying anymore. No worries I will be getting tune, don't want any burnt valves!

AC just stopped working after shop removing cats/welding in pipe - still have o2s - no tune yet
EGR is not plugged in either if that may have anything to do with PCM not turning ac on...
low/high pressures almost equal say 70 low, 79 high
Jumped low pressure switch -...
Well here's some sh!t, I looked up vin on TIS and truck had been brought in twice for new software to eliminate false egr stuck open p1404. I have not gotten this code but have replaced egr so my next thing will be to run without it plugged in and see what happens.
Unplugging oem MAF it runs...
Phil no codes, and yes if engine is cold no problems.
I can let it idle in my driveway for ever if I havent driven it. May just be fine in my driveway, only seems to die if I am at a stoplight or somewhere I dont want it to die. No hesitation just falls flat on its face, no problem restarting.
I replaced IAC today, it runs much smoother but still died on me at idle once warmed up still
, looking into tps??
Ronn88 I will try disconnecting egr, I actually replaced it a few thousand miles ago but have not tried to run with it unplugged.
Ah ok i did not unplug IAC, sometimes it idle will drop to say 600 and bump back up. other times at idle it just shuts off. I do not suspect injectors because trying to track down the problem replaced fuel pressure regulator and figured while I was in there replace stock with bosch 4 hole injectors.
Yes-no luck tracking one down. Sprayed starter fluid around intake manifold as well to make sure that was sealed.
forgot to mention also replaced injectors and fuel pressure regulator-small hose to fpr was hard so did not replace
I have been chasing this problem for about a year truck dies in neutral only at stop light after idling for 20-30s. I have replaced egr, cap/rotor, coil & wire. I do not believe it has any bad fuses. I do believe neutral switch on trans is out as my reverse lights do not come on (new bulbs). O2...
