Franken-Tahoe? Found for sale in Brazil, not sure what it is... or was

Thanks for sharing!!! The bracket has two bolts holding it to the spindle but the caliper has only one guide bolt, never seen that before. The picture of the spindle in the repair manual reminds me of Baer spindle mod. Also interesting, the crossmember for the rear body mounts, I've never seen...

For bleeding the brakes, sorry if I missed it in a previous post, did you use the combination valve tool? Unscrew the sensor and screw in the tool. Plus there is a button of sorts on the front and rear of the valve that you need too make sure stays depressed. This post explains it better...

    Windshield leak

3M instructions say to only use 2K Epoxy Primer, NO paint, for large area repairs of the pinch weld. Step 8 in the 3M Urethane Windshield Adhesive TDS. Also follow the TDS for whatever 2K epoxy you use. Personally I use SprayMax 3680033 and it seems to work well on a properly cleaned and prepped...

    Converting 1988 2500 6 lug to 8 lug 2wd

Good stuff, looks like the upper controls arms have the adjustable bolts for the alignment. On your upper control arm mounts, if they haven't been knocked out already, there's tabs that need to be removed so you can use those bolts and be able to adjust the alignment.

    Converting 1988 2500 6 lug to 8 lug 2wd

Just curious, how are the frames different? The only two differences I've noticed are listed in post #11. FYI - OP has a 2wd so it's coil springs in the front.

    Converting 1988 2500 6 lug to 8 lug 2wd

For what you're doing, I think you just need upper control arms, spindles, and brakes. The lower control arms I believe are the same. GM added ABS tone rings on the front rotors in the later years. I attached pages from the parts book. It's a good idea to measure the spindle for wear when you're...

    Water in cab of truck

On mine, the seal for the HVAC air inlet duct was leaking. It would leak down the passenger side/inside cab side of the firewall, and after soaking that padding it would go down to the padding under the carpet on the passenger side.

    Dies without throttle until warm

Couldn't see in the vid if the intake manifold has the EGR on it. When I first bought my truck ('89 5.7L) it wouldn't idle at all until after it warmed up. Ended up needing a new EGR valve. Could just make or buy a block off plate and see if anything changes, ECU would add a code for the EGR...

FYI - If you order the clear lights from LMC - This is the second set I've gotten with little bubbles in the glass (High Beam and Low Beam all have similar bubbles) - There's also, what I'm guessing is, dust under the chrome paint that they use. From a few feet away you probably wouldn't notice...

    Trans cooler and upgrade radiator

I've seen both, but personally, I would just follow the instructions that come with the cooler. IN-SERIES INSTALLATION 1. Locate the steel lines coming from the transmission to the radiator (most commonly to side tank or bottom). Determine which is the return line by running the engine for 2...

    Trans cooler and upgrade radiator

It's probably fine, but personally, if I haven't worked on the trans before, I double check the accuracy of the dipstick while I have the pan off changing the filter. (FYI - in the video he's talking about filling a brand new trans that's never been ran, for one that's been ran check the service...

Did you check the main ground? I think the main ground attaches to the metal bracket that's riveted to the lower part of the dash? If I remember right is was somewhere around the Diagnostic Port/OBD1 connector. That whole bracket was corroded badly in mine, and the only way that bracket...

PSA for camshaft expansion plugs+ flex plate!

I agree, I prefer rollers if it can be afforded. Flat tappet cams are still good cams depending on what you're building, especially if they've been nitrided. For cam lobes, lifter, distributor gear, rocker, pushrod, etc. I use a Calcium Sulfonate based grease. Currently using Driven Assembly...
