mine has the drive shaft support bearing on a separate crossmember behind the torsion bar cross member.

    Dean's Diesel Off Road Build

Realift says that they are designed to work with various size lifts. The bracket measures to relocate about 4.5" of the torsion bar but I have a 6" lift so that means the bar drops closer to the cross member.

I would recommend reaching out to Realift for their installation instructions. The intructions specify that the notch doesnt need to be done on all models, depending on if you have regular, extended, crew cab, short bed, long bed. My specific extended cab, long bed needed it.

No the tires fit as is without any rubbing. This would be dependent on how far your wheels stick out also. Also, I havent taken the truck off road yet so there is a very good chance I may get some rubbing once the truck is flexing. The closest area is the front bumper so I may end up trimming it...

I also ended up getting a fresh set of tires. These are Atturo Trailblade MT in a 35x12.50r17. The tires are surprisingly quiet and balanced really well. They had a lot of great reviews on other forums so I decided to try them out. Plus you can beat $900 for new 35” MT’s installed.

I finally got around to getting the transmission crossmember notched. Turned out pretty good and only took a few hours of work. I ended up extending the 4” exhaust so that the hump over the torsion crossmember moves backwards as well. also had a shop reroute the crossover pipe at an angle so...

You got lucky then because even in the instructions they mention that some trucks may have interference. I considered flattening the pipe in a vice but then I still need my front cross over pipe modified because of the 6” lift so I will have them do it all at once.

And yes the TB relocation was worth it. I am planning to go to Moab this year and that will keep me from dragging the torsion bars and brackets on some of the tougher trails.

Unfortunately I don't think that information is fully correct. When I received the RC kit, the subframe drop for the diff and the control arms all measured out to be a 6" drop. When reassembling the torsion bars, I torqued them to the same spec as what I had stock and my total lift came out to...

    '99 K2500 6.5 Diesel Suburban Overland Build

Great job on the build. How does the vacuum pump delete with the mechanical wastegate feel? Was yours bad previously? Mine is still working so I'm not sure if I want to do it but since I am planning to get it tuned, I have to decide now.

    95 K1500 "ole blue"

Great start to the truck, eventually you will get enough parts replaced that it will be a dependable rig. I am taking a slightly different approach, I am trying to preventatively replace the parts that are bound to break.

The max I have seen people get out of a TB crank is about 3" but it varies by truck. The downside of the TB crank is that essentialy your control arms will be right up against the bump stops so if you go offroad then you wont have any wheel droop/extension left. Essentially TB cranks of that...

    Dean's Diesel Off Road Build

I finally got my Realift TB relocator's on which turned out to be a pain in the ass. The TB cross member has to be moved backwards with some new holes in the frame drilled so be ready for that. Also since I upgraded my exhaust to a 4", the exhaust was in the way to slide the cross member back...

Yep, used to have 2 e30's, an e36, e39 and a z3 coupe. The suspension is that standard rough country 6" lift. If you are asking about a specific measurement like from the floor to the bumper or fender flare then I can do a measurement quickly.

Thanks, it was way more affordable then a decent paintjob and it was an easy DIY project. Cost me about $300 total for the whole truck.

Here my little gem. 98 6.5 turbo diesel with 86k original miles. Was a farm truck so I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning It up and replacing parts. Here’s the before and after.

    Dean's Diesel Off Road Build

Plans for the next few months will be to install torsion bar relocaters and move the rear axle forward 14" in order to improve the break over angle. Then chop the frame a bit off the rear and build an off road flatbed. At some points I also would like to install a winch bumper with a winch and...

    Dean's Diesel Off Road Build

There has been other upgrades done as well that I forgot to takes pictures of. I ended up putting sound deadening material in all of the doors, rear side panels, back panel and roof of the cab. It hasn't made a huge change in quietness but it definitely improved a lot of droning and rattling...

    Dean's Diesel Off Road Build

Man it has been forever since Ive been able to post anything but the truck has definitely come a long way. In the last 2 months I did a pretty major overhaul by replacing all of the injectors, glow plugs and a bunch of gaskets in the process. I also installed an EGT and Boost gauge to monitor...

Thanks, if the paint would have been in decent condition then I would have left it. I love the combo as well. I'll try to get a video recorded and posted tomorrow. Hopefully the quality will come through good. I did keep the muffler in for now but I may getting the available muffler delete pipe...
