    Wow, never really though of this. Almost everything on my truck is new besides the rusted POS rear axle. It would be nice just to swap it out with one that has disk brakes and not have to deal with drums ever again.

    For the 400 I would say it is the switch. I have replaced that ******* 4 times and next time I will be ripping out the wiring and motor, replacing it, and installing relays.

    Same here with the weird temp gauge. I wouldn't worry about it, all of the 400's I drove showed low voltage with the key off, it is the others that seem to drift.

    The leak might not be as obvious as mine. I had a bad intake gasket a while back (the one between the two halves) and it would surge badly and try to take off under idle. I had to use the spray seafoam around the intake until I found it.

    Is there any vacuum leaks? I just had the same problem today and it ended up being a vacuum line was missing from the intake to the heater bypass valve solenoid when I put the engine back together. OOPS!

    Also agree on the cooler lines. Mine have done nothing but gave me hell. I am going to make custom ones when it warms back up.

    IAT. Just went through the same thing with mine. I thought it was the distributor since I just rebuilt and put it together but it ended up being the intake sensor. It was showing 90 degrees out when it was 12.
