    Sorry for not getting back sooner. Silly me, I didn't even consider the connector was under all that foam padding. I was thinking the wires disconnected inside the steering column. Anyway, the switch is installed and the speedo, trans, etc are plugging right along just like any other vehicle...

    Wires from ignition harness to steering column.

    1997 chevy k 1500. How do I get those unspeakable wires out of there? it is a 3 wire clip right on top, the blind side, of the steering column. I can't see, I can barely feel. I know what the release clip should feel like but I just can't get it. Help please. going nuts over here.

    Great video but it doesn't cover those 3 wires to the steering column. I just can't get those bloody things to come off. That harness in the video does not have those 3 wires.

    Ran into a little problem replacing the ignition switch harness. There are three wires going into what appears to be a plastic collar around the steering column, close to the firewall, inside the cab. I can't see a way to see what is under there unless I destroy that black plastic bit, which...
