thanks, what makes it longer, is the housing not the same, and if i just bolted the whole 2x4 rear end up, would not not fit right in place and i would just have 5 lu instead of 6 thanks for your reply , have not had much luck with this question ,

hi,i blew the rear diif on my truck, it is a 93 sierra 4x4, i found a rear end with the same gearing that is a 5 lug from a 2x4. can i switch my axles into the 2x4 rear diif to have the 6 lug, or is there a difference in size
