Slam Air lift kit with a DJM Notch?

Slam Air 59202... but it did NOT fit, but I made it work.. keep reading. This is the only pic I took. So.... I don't know what's up with my truck, but this bracket would not fit between the frame and the brake drum... so that count's it out immediately. (I really should call air lift tech and...

Slam Air lift kit with a DJM Notch?

Thanks for the reply. I pulled the trigger on the kit, I figure if it doesn't bolt up I can slot the holes on the bracket.

Slam Air lift kit with a DJM Notch?

Anyone use a slam air kit with a DJM Notch? The instructions say the bracket will bolt into a Bell-Tech notch mounting holes, but I have a DJM notch. They're tech line said they're were 16 calls ahead of me so I might try calling them again later, but was wondering if anyone had personal...

    Just finished a 5/7 DJM drop on a 2500

Yeah, I'll keep it 8 lug because I'm happy with the wheels and caps. I would consider a 6 lug conversion if I couldn't find wheels I liked.

New guy, just want to see some static drops

I still might do that, since I'd like a little more rake than it has.

New guy, just want to see some static drops

I only did the flip kit, and mine dropped more than six. It sat lower in the rear than the front, and I don't like that. I prefer a hound dog stance with the nose down so I lifted the rear 1" with shackles, and raised it a bit more with bigger tires. Here is a pic of before the 1" lift and...

    Just finished a 5/7 DJM drop on a 2500

Just thought I'd report my results, yours may vary. When I first installed this the rear of the truck was way lower than the front. I hated it. I know you young buckeroos like your trucks to drag tail, but I don't. So I used a 1" lift shackle in the rear and did big N' little tires. 225/75/16...

    Wandering steering

Did you know there are knockouts that need to be removed in the upper control arm to adjust the caster/camber? If they didn't do that, then all they did was adjust the toe, and that means your caster is all out of whack. I speak from experience, I just did a 5/7 drop on a 2500.

Difference between 1500 and 2500LD leaf springs?

Remove the overloads, that should get you drop equal to the height of the overloads. Unless you haul heavy stuff you don't need them. Dropped hangers in the front will get you another 2".

    Glad to be here

Looking to read and learn! I want to start working on my daily driver 2000 GMC Crew Cab short bed. I already have a DJM 5/7 drop. Gonna get started on that soon. I live in Fort Worth, TX, and also have an interest in Hot Rods and Customs, I also have a 1938 Chevy Coupe hot rod.
