1997 centurion crew cab short box

I'm selling my truck. I've dumped countless hours and dollars into it to make it what it is. Granted this is not 100% finished but is very close. It's a 97 crew cab short box and I have replaced the rockers, cab corners, doors, fenders. Orginal hood still on it. Box was replaced with a Montana...

Need some advice on a 1995 K1500 potential purchase

I work on plow trucks for my job ,(fleet service work) I see 2015 trucks that are junk from salt and rust and the wiring/corrosion that goes with it. Unless its dirt cheep and you dont mind always finding something else pop up all the time. Ide say save up and find one that is in nice shape and...

    1997 centurion ground up build

As much as I'm torn in two directions on my truck, I got a call from the guy I got my truck from and he asked me if it was for sale, (I have him on snap chat and has seen the whole project start to current state) I said I would have to have xxxxx for it. He said ok on the spot. I'm torn about...

    400 cracked block?

It's not the bore size that make an engine run hot. .060 over is pushing it on the comfortable zone as these do have thin cylinder walls. Everyone says they are problematic but I've never had issues or personally know someone who has. I've ran a .030 409 casting 400 block 16psi with a 671...

    1997 centurion ground up build

I was going to go have them "X" under the blower to keep the height down. I have 16" of available height before I need a cowl hood lol. It will be roughly 5" higher than a ls truck intake. I'm keeping everything contained under hood.

    1997 centurion ground up build

In the grand scheme of things, probably not. With a turbo, different intakes have made big differences. It was more of a Science experiment but easily tripple the fab work.

    1997 centurion ground up build

I wanted to do a cross ram style intake for my blower. I was going to have approximately 12" runners. I wanted to test the torq of it on a dyno and see if the long runners were even noticeable. Injector placement and about of fabing it to make fit would be a nightmare. I have changed my route...

Picked up another hot rod project.

I'll post a bunch of stuff when I dig into it. I've always done a little chop on things. I only took 2" out of my 76 c10 but it really made you look at it and say, hey...that's not factory, is it?

Picked up another hot rod project.

1947 chevy stylemaster. No motor or transmission. Rest of the car is 100% there. Very minimal surface rust. Been sitting since the early 90s. I'm going to chop 3" out of the top, heidts front end and narrow 9" in the back for some extra rubber. Flat black and polish the chrome. I have the drive...

    Bolt on turbo kit?

No one makes a bolt on it. You can run e85, just get the small tester and check what you are getting from the pump and tune it on the safe side. If your only going to run 5# or something similar, you are not going to run into any issues. higher psi and higher hp, yes! As far as not a good motor...

    Blower on demand

Blowers have an internal bypass in them that open up under part throttle and allow air to bypass the rotors and free up parasitic drag when out of boost. They draw virtually no hp loss. You will get better mileage and less headaches tuning just hooking the belt up and leaving it. Not saying its...

    3.08 to 3.42

Dont fear the gear! I would jump to a 3.73 personally. i have 4.56 in my 97, (33" tire) a little extra gear makes for a fun driver and very minimal loss in fuel economy. even thou you are turning more rpm, the load on the motor is less.
