    No spark

The post says no spark but you replaced a fuel pump?... I agree with Eric, if you haven't already you need to pin point what's missing in your engine for the bangs to happen....highly, highly recommend you get a repair manual involved... they're simple, straight forward, and a huge help with...

    K2500 Hidden Winch Plate

Thanks to everyone for the great responses and help. I think I'm gonna buy it and take a whack at installing it. I can handle some trimming and slotting if thats what's needed to make it work. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    K2500 Hidden Winch Plate

Afternoon gentlemen! Hope this is the right spot for this. If not I apologize in advance. So I've got a 97 K2500 Suburban and I've been looking to add a winch but would also like to retain the clean look the truck has. If I can avoid it I would like to stay away from having to add an off...

    I need AC! Help!

You've most likely got a leak and thats where I would start. Check if your compressor clutch is engaging when you turn the system on, if it doesn't, the system is most likely low on refrigerant and is keeping the clutch from engaging as a self preservation safety. Take it to any decent repair...

At my wits end with high idle issues.

Thank you to everyone that chipped in! I learned a lot about TBI from you guys in this post alone. Definitely gonna be investing in the diag tools for this gen truck. However, since I've been very busy with house construction lately and hadn't had time to work on it, I decided to wing it and...

    Slight misfire question

Had this same issue when I bought my truck at it ended up being that the previous owner had disconnected the MAP sensor and plugged the vacuum line going to it. Yours may not be plugged and disconnected, but maybe it has gone bad. I would give that a try since they are so cheap, but I'm sure...

At my wits end with high idle issues.

I know i DEFINITELY do not have an OBD2 style connector because when I first got the truck it had a MIL on because the previous owner disconnected the MAP sensor and put a screw in the vacuum line that goes to it..... Yeah, idiot I know. The guy was selling it for cheap due to "misfire and...

At my wits end with high idle issues.

So would this one work? It says 16 pin. The reason why I'm feeling inclined to buy this one on eBay is because it comes with a software disc. If for any reason TunerPro RT doesn't work for me, I have a back up. So do you think this one will work...

At my wits end with high idle issues.

Hey man, so i found this on eBay. It's the aldl cable and it says it comes with the software to run the diagnostics and scanner features from a laptop. Would this be enough to diagnose my truck?? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F113703928754 Sent...

At my wits end with high idle issues.

Following back on this post. I haven't been able to actually work on the truck because I've had construction going on at home and have been running back and forth getting materials. Thankfully ol' reliable pulls through every time. My 84 c10 that has never failed me lol Anyways, thanks to...

At my wits end with high idle issues.

-Did you watch the computer change the timing from before and after you unplugged the bypass to set the timing? No I did not. -Have you unplugged the pcv valve and checked for vacuum coming from the valve cover to indicate an internally leaking intake manifold? I don't understand that...

At my wits end with high idle issues.

I'mma start by saying that this is my first time ever owning a TBI truck and so far I'm not having a good time with it. I've had both prior gen carbed small blocks and the 5.3 and later lq and ls based small blocks and both have been much more complacent and easy to fix. Also, before making...

No oil pressure after head gasket change???? Huh??

The distributor was pointing to number one when it was installed. Like I've said several times, the engine fired up and ran. The problem was that the helical drive gears were only partly meshed and the oil pump drive was not engaged. Sent from my moto g(6) plus using Tapatalk

No oil pressure after head gasket change???? Huh??

Oh please, lol no need to apologise. My bad if my reply came over wrong... Unfortunately over message tone of voice can be misinterpreted. I woulda actually deserved you poking at me, since I woulda never had to post for help if only I'd remembered sooner that the distributor drives the oil pump...

No oil pressure after head gasket change???? Huh??

If you read the post about when I was able to fix it, you will see that is exactly what I ended up doing. My main mistake in this is that from working so much recently on engines from the ls and lq family I forgot that these earlier small blocks have distributor driven oil pumps, not crank...

No oil pressure after head gasket change???? Huh??

It was just the distributor drive gears meshed but it had not made it all the way to drive the oil pump. Sent from my moto g(6) plus using Tapatalk

    AC Clutch Issues

Okay, thanks for all the great pointers. Im hoping it's not the compressor after I sunk the money into the clutch. I guess i can always take it off and return since im within 30 days and the box is still at home. Sent from my moto g(6) plus using Tapatalk

    AC Clutch Issues

The diode is present, i verified this by pulling back the insulation on the pig tail. So if the coil is isolated then all thats left to do is check for proper 12 volts at the terminal, if voltage is correct. What would I be looking for next? Firestone recommended an AC compressor.... But i dont...
