    Factory style radio swap

There’s a thread on here about adding AUX to the factory radio for 88-94. I plan on doing that, then buying an Aux to Bluetooth adapter and hiding it all in the glove box. No one will see it, so looks all stock and will pair to my phone for music...

    Topkick cab vs truck cab

Thanks for the responses, pictures didn’t show the roof but it is raised so I’ll just go back to fixing up my own cab.

    Topkick cab vs truck cab

Anyone know if a topkick cab is the same as a regular truck cab? I know the floor has the Center raised for the transmission (appears to be bolted on/easily removed)

    Sway Bar Question

Just look for a gmt400 suburban, Tahoe or Yukon as they have a factory rear sway bar. There’s a few threads on the site about swapping them to the trucks

Need help with upper control arm problems.

Do you know if the knockouts have been removed for the upper control arms? They would limit the adjustment a lot check out this thread https://www.gmt400.com/threads/obs-camber-caster-knock-outs-how-to-tell-if-you-have-them.22124/

    DBW pedal Construction

You probably can I’ve also seen people using the DBW pedal from one of the 6.5 trucks but you have to repin a few of the wires. I’m fairly certain this pedal won’t be an issue to bolt in though and the price was right for it

    DBW pedal Construction

After cutting I drilled a 3/8” hole in the bottom of the DBW pedal and slid in the original pedal. Now once I figure out the mounting inside the cab (looks like I’ll just line up the bottom hole and drill out the upper two) I will weld it into its final postion. I’ll update this when I...

    DBW pedal Construction

Picked up a bunch of parts for an LS swap that I won’t be doing anytime soon but was out in the garage and decided to to some modding. I started with a DBW adjustable pedal from an 03 Yukon. While I was at the yard I also pulled a spare pedal from a 90 Sierra so I didn’t have to cut up mine...

Really like that hood! Is it custom or did you buy it that way? Is the scoop functional?

My 98 C1500 Short Box Rebuild

Love the attention to detail and I’m definitely stealing your idea for flipping the cab. I plan on having mine off this summer to fix up. Any chance you have some pictures of the brackets you made that are bolted to the cab? They look like a few pieces of angle iron I’m guessing

    A cheap tow rig

Used to have a 99 classic with the 6.5 and I remember it being really good on fuel When it ran haha. Had so much fun with that truck, was badly rusted and the tranny finally went so I let it go. Wouldn’t mind getting another someday No power comparison to my current 6.6 though

Best lowering kit? Bell tech or Mcgaughys?

I was told that the Belltech spindles increase your track width. I went with DJM spindles for that reason

Axle flip - shock extender size

Ya i’ve read about the bad angle they get set at. I think I’ll figure out a decent length for them. I’ll post what I can come up with, I’ve figured it out up to this point lol
