Roller cam engine?
I'm rebuilding a 1995 K1500 and I want to upgrade the engine. I haven't disassembled it yet but I'm wondering if it has a roller cam or do just the vortec engines, starting in 1996 have roller cams? Pinion depth question
I'm replacing the rear ring and pinion on my 1998 Tahoe and I can't figure out what the pinion depth should be? It's a 8.5 10 bolt with a 3.42 ratio. 4l60e transmission question
I have a 1996 Tahoe with a 4L60E transmission. My questions relate to the difference in years. I have a rebuilt one from a 1998 pickup. Are the transmissions different? Do they have any difference physically or electronically? Any help would be appreciated.- Bill Berndt

1996 Tahoe Push button 4 wheel drive question
I have a 1996 Tahoe and I can not get the front axle to engage. When I push the button on the 4 wheel drive switch, the transfer case engages but the front axle doesn't. I am having a problem with the four wheel drive engaging on my 96 Tahoe. The transfer case is shifting in and I removed the actuator on the front axle and applied power and ground to it and it extended. My question is does the dash switch engage the front axle? I have a 1993 light duty 2500 and all the wires for the 4 wheel drive have been broken off the front differential. Including the wires to the actuator. My question is this.
