no start when it rains
If you sprayed the coil with water and the truck shut off and wouldn't restart then you already Found your problem. Replace the coil. I had the exact same problem on my 96 tahoe,wouldn't start on humid or rainy days. New coil and it never had a problem again.- Rich-stepside

Fooling Rear O2 Sensors?
I ran non foulers on a 96 Tahoe 5.7 with gutted cats. Kept the check engine light off and Passed NJ inspection for 2 years like that- Rich-stepside

Overheating after changing temperature sender
Are you sure that's the correct sender for your truck? I've never seen one for that New of a truck with a threaded connection for the wire . Usually it's the sensor with A tail if wire already attached and plugs into the wiring harness.- Rich-stepside

Honestly I'd probably just switch them to the correct senders For a 94. They are cheap ,easy to change ,and just plug in to The factory harness- Rich-stepside

looking for part numbers.
Rockauto lists a DORMAN 800422 inlet hose "T". It's under heating air conditioning - heated hose connector and is $4.61 For a 98 suburban maybe it's what your looking for?- Rich-stepside

Well it's worked in my friends daily driver for nearly 5 years and in mine for close to 6 months Now. Your using the factory tach signal wire that came directly from the factory distributor to the pcm. No just use one wire, the purple one has a white stripe on it making it "purple\white". Just connect the purple wire to the tach port on the distributor. Use the heavy pink wire that went to the coil originally, connect that to the batt port on the distributor. Then the tps kit and it should run...- Rich-stepside

Well my truck is a 94 so it may be different then yours. The only wiring that was changed Was the purple/white wire for tach signal the heavy pink wire that went to the original coil was cut and used for power to HEI distributor and an aftermarket tps added to the carburetor. If I remember correctly , the R4 A\C compressors on 88 to early 90s trucks had a switch On the back of them that took a 1 wire plug like that .- Rich-stepside

I just did a similar swap only my truck had a v8 already but it's a 1994 And I used an edelbrock carburetor. I used a tps setup from U.S. Shift that's meant for edelbrock carbs. rear end swap ?
Well from what I have read while researching this myself is that the c1500 2wd differential is 2-3" narrower then the k1500 4 wd differentials. So if the housing is narrower is assume the axle Shafts would be shorter. Also I've read that 88 had 28 spline axles and 90 and up were 30 spline...- Rich-stepside

Mystery wires 96 k1500
Not 100% sure but orange and white are usually for interior lighting I'd look for under dash light, glove box light, or even the door switch for the lighting- Rich-stepside

98 K1500 doesn’t start during rain
My 96 tahoe did this also, mine turned out to be the ignition coil. Took a spray bottle with water in it , with truck running i lightly sprayed Water on different components .
