Antenna socket size - Which Lisle socket?

I'm trying to remove the antenna on my 1996 Yukon, but the nut is being difficult. I've tried placing a slotted screwdriver in a notch and tapping with a hammer, but not luck. All I got was a chipped edge on the retaining nut. What size Lisle antenna socket is needed on these trucks? I don't...

    Front wheel well liners

I was browsing some gmt400 videos and ran across a project where someone made a large front wheel well liner. Look at the 1:45 mark here: Anybody have an idea how to make these? As far as mounting goes, I was thinking about gluing neodymium magnets to the rubber material or figuring out...

I have a 1996 5.7L Yukon. It is leaking oil in the front. Without taking the pulley wheels off, it seems to be coming from behind the harmonic balancer. I was looking to start ordering parts from Rockauto, but noticed two different diameters for the crankshaft seal...

    Upper Control Arm Bolt Orientation

I've seen several suggestions regarding the upper control arm bolt orientation. Does it matter? With a 140ftlb torque spec, ease of access to the nut seems the most important. The bolt orientations I've run across: 1 - Both bolt heads must be inboard of the control arm bracket (from Chilton...

Due to a stupid mistake, the hood on my 96 Yukon flipped up and rested on my windshield after I hit 25mph.... It still opens and closes just fine, but the rear of hood by the hinge is lower. It's about 1/4" below the side fender at the antenna. The driver side has the same deflection. I...
