    Tbi 305 stalling/hard start

I have not. Genuinely haven’t messed with the obd1 system at all. And it’s currently acting up. I have had to keep the pcv port unhooked and it fires right up and idle albeit high due to the vaccum leak. Wondering if the iac needs reset since being unplugged due to swapping engines.

Put 93 in it today and ran it around and it’s now running fine. Curious why that change would affect it? Not too high of compression.

not that i noticed, doesnt ping from what i can hear. ill have to pull them again and look over them completely. And nothing else changed when swapping carbs other than having to add a 1" spacer to clear the fuel line on my intake. All the local guys that build engines told me to stick with a...

Good ready to install vortec heads?+cam recommendation

not sure if this is still relevent or not but the truck ran pretty good for what it was. 9.25:1 350 with mild upgrades. It had plenty of passing power with 33s and 3.73 gears. Loved 6500rpm but it eventually spun a bearing. Now the truck has a forged bottom end 355 10.5:1 with afr 195cc heads...

Carb swapping an 88 5.7 TBI, parts recommendations

I agree with what he said about efi. I’ve been tuning the avs 2 for quite some Time now and still haven’t gotten it perfect. The Holley style carbs are a bit easier to use. All you need is an hei distributor, intake, carb, and fpr if it’s 88-95 96 up is a **** show. I did mine with the tbi heads...
