This is exatly what I need to do to mine. I have a 5" drop front w/ 245/45/20 and when I hit a good dip, my tires rub the underside of the wheel well. Cutting mine like this will fix the prob. Great photo, thanks

Lowering Rear - any advantage in using 2002-2006 rear leaf springs?

yea, i noticed that all the trucks in those years had the 3 leaf pack vs the old 5 leaf pack. but they were still rated at the same load. I was thinking that the arc may be the difference.

Lowering Rear - any advantage in using 2002-2006 rear leaf springs?

So I tried using a set of Bell Tech 4" dropped leaf springs but its not getting as low as I want. I even have 2" hangers and its still about 1" too high. Decided to scrap the Bell Tech's and go with a flip kit. Problem is when I installed the Bell Tech's I tossed my stock leaf springs so now...

6” drop in rear without a flip kit?

I don't have a flip kit. I am running Bell Tech 4" dropped springs which keeps the axle below the leafs. I also have 2" dropped front spring perch. The rear was not level with the front, so i removed the rear "stock" shackles and re-installed the two inch dropped ones, set on the 1" mark. I...

Rear disc.......again Little Shop manufaturing kit questions

no, it was air in the system. I still have not switched the lines at the master. Kind of "it works, leave it alone. After I removed the ABS, I was able to use 88-94 front brake lines, the "two into one" kind. I was able to bend the line into the prop-valve w/ out having to cut/re-flare the...

6” drop in rear without a flip kit?

i have not installed my C notch yet, and am running a 6" drop. I removed the bump stops attached to the frame and have a good 2-3" of space. I have 4" dropped springs (bell tech) and 2" front leaf hanger (i even used a set of 2" dropped shackles but set for 1") then used a new set of air...

    TB spacer, upper intake spacer?

so this may be a stupid question, but if it does not help, or only helps at WOT/3000rpm + then why did they make it one inch? in other words, would 1.5 or 2" have been better. Can you add too much volume that it starts to hurt performance? Anyone ever add two of these for a 2" spacer? TIA

anyone run the stock Corvette rims? the 18 front, 19 rear or the 19 front 20 rear? will the same 1.5" adapter work for those. I see stock vette rims for sale all the time in my local area. I am running a set of Foose 20" now. they came with the truck, and I'm thinking of selling them for the...

Spider to mpfi wow! What a difference!

new owner of a 97 SCSB that has some mods. This truck has had about 6-7 previous owners and i'm finding upgrades all the time. is there any way I can tell, from looking at the manifold, if a previous owner has upgraded from the spider to the mpfi? other than taking the top off the intake...

    ABS removal/proportioning valve

Did this also. used Junkyard parts. Went with a 06 burban valve, it has two in, two out for disc/disc setup. Then swapped to 88-94 front brake lines, they are two into one w/ a "T". So that makes two lines coming out of the MC into the prop valve, then out to the front/rear lines. Only had...

In the pics above, yours and mine are 180 out. so my ?? is do I have it set up wrong? My Prop valve is from a...

Rear disc.......again Little Shop manufaturing kit questions

yep, even used the prop valve tool that came with my wilwood valve, the one that you install in place of the warning sensor. it stops the side-to-side movement of the internal valve. no joy.

Rear disc.......again Little Shop manufaturing kit questions

UPDATE: So I put the larger GMT800 master in, after bleeding I had no change, soft pedal all the way to the floor. Bleed, bleed, bleed and soft pedal. Decided maybe it was related to the ABS which is setup for disc/drum. So I decided to delete the ABS. Tried several different methods all...

    LS MFG Rear Disc Conversion

question about brake lines. I noticed you have the rear line on the MC going to the front of the prop valve, and the front line going to the rear of the prop valve. My truck is a 97 and I also added the LSM rear disc setup. On my setup, I swapped out the GMT400 master for one off a GMT800 and...

Rear disc.......again Little Shop manufaturing kit questions

I have tried gravity, no joy. i have used a one man bleeder with a pump to suck out the air, nothing. I have had someone sit in the seat and push down the peddle while I open, close the bleeder, zip. I really think it has to do with the fact that the rears were drum and the prop valve/combo...

Rear disc.......again Little Shop manufaturing kit questions

i bought the kit a few weeks ago. Installed them in about 3-4 hours. It was easy. Only issue I have now is that I can't get the air out of the lines. I installed a new MC, front rotor/calipers, steal braided lines and new barking brake cables. No amount of bleeding has worked on getting the...

    0411 PCM ? - can I just use the 2002 harness on my 97 L31

I picked up a 2002 0411 PCM out of Chevy Van that was running a L31 motor. I realized later that I needed the first foot or so of the wire harness after I left the yard. I am going back soon to grab the portion of the harness I need but that got me thinking. Can't I just use the complete...

1997 2WD ? about ABS sensor on front hubs, only on one side
