What happened was that someone took the motor case off that holds the permanent magnets and reassembled 180 degrees out. If you reverse the magnetic poles on a permanent magnet motor in relation to the current in the armature it will run in reverse. If you reverse the current it will also run in...
Check to see if the drum is rubbing the backing plate. Clean off any rust and debris. Also I had a 89 K1500 that lost the differential carrier bearings and the drum really started rubbing the brake backing plate.
It needs power, ground, speed signal and input from the set, resume switch. Also the clutch and brake circuits can't be sending a cancel signal. Have you checked the fuse? Also the servo cable could be broken, disconnecting or adjusted incorrectly.
Dealing with the same thing myself. The previous owner replaced the engine about 3 years ago. At some point it was probably subjected to coolant in the oil. The pan was leaking oil so I pulled it and found metallic oil, and a small amount of coolant in the pan. I pulled some rods and main caps...
The seat bottom frames are the same except for the hinge on the control side. This can easily be cut off and welded to the other side if you need a base frame. The foam is cut out for controls depending on driver or passenger. Control brackets bolt to the base. All holes are predrilled on both...
I converted a 1989 instrument cluster to a 1992-1993 cluster with a tach. I had to splice the later style plug to the 89 dash harness. I had to move 2 wires, but the circuits are the same except for the VBSS. The original cluster contains all those circuits. The later cluster requires an...
Just got a Superlift K270B 6 inch lift. Although most suppliers show pics of the kit with kicker braces, they are no longer used or available to purchase. I called Superlift and expressed my displeasure. They said they had to cheapen it up to compete with the RCX kit. I will be using the old...
I wouldn't take anything apart. Just take out #1 spark plug and have someone bump the starter with your finger on the plug hole, you will know when its on the compression stroke, then line up the timing mark and install distributor as others have explained.
The 6 inch kits all use a drop center link.
If you can't afford a 6 inch kit, the only viable option is a body lift. Body lifts also have many bad side effects. I run a Superlift 6 inch. Got it for 1200 with Billstiens.
I tried the 2 inch blocks and re indexed keys and that was terrible. UCA 'S were topped out, all angles extreme. I went to a superlift 6 inch. In my opinion, you can't get it high enough without a body lift if you are trying crank up the front end with a stock suspension.
