Replaced the door panels, scored a pack of 100 of the vampire clips off Amazon for $10, as much as I'm not a fan of Amazon I couldn't beat that. It's so nice being able to open the door without ripping the panel to shreds. Need to get my ass in gear and do door pins and the HD door handles soon.

    What have you towed lately

I got lucky with my WD hitch, my truck and my buddy's truck were pretty much the same height. The only thing I hated about this hitch was the locking pin kept wanting to come loose, in fact the first time I pulled the camper I wound up dragging one of the bars for a few miles because it came...

Another 454 Vortec Build Thread - Documenting, Q&A, Help

Looking forward to the progress! You'll love the 0411, I did the swap back in 2019 and aside from a few hiccups I don't regret it.

Made a run to my local yard today, scored decent enough. Managed to get a new driver's side door panel since mine is wrecked. All of the retainer clips are long gone, and the door panel is catching on the trim every time I open the door, so I've managed to not only rip the door panel but also...

The Official Vortec 454 Info thread

What about bein a Walbroro Wam? I've been debating swapping to a 255 or something, it's had a Delphi pump for about 4 years and it's starting to get a little weak.

I hope so, for the price of a new trailer spec'd similar to the mods I'll do, I'll be saving a pile of money. I think between the welding, new wheels, the ramps, new toolbox and whatever else I deem necessary to replace I'll probably be sitting at 1K? Beats 7500 for a new trailer!

@Supercharged111 I should also ad, I'm definitely going to be getting some mounts for a WD hitch, more than likely a Blue Ox sway hitch, the ramps are coming off soon, got a buddy who's going to do some welding on the trailer to get it set up exactly how I want it with rub rails for better tie...

He had another 97 F250 the same time I first got my K2500; he's got mostly GM now but still clings to a few Fords that are close to him. He wouldn't have gotten this truck if it weren't a manual, and even with it's bumps and bruises it's such a cool truck We probably should have, every time I...

    What have you towed lately

My buddy scored the F250; 7.3L/ZF5, 170K. She's a little rough around the edges, aside from the paint being cooked, stuck rear brakes and a blown brake line it's a solid enough rig. My poor truck was begging for mercy, we should've taken the ramps off and moved it back 8 or 10 inches, when we...

Led reverse flood light “Bumper Install” 28$ Bargain

I love the install; I mounted a set of HF pods to my bumper and tied them into my cargo light switch, same as the spot lights in my mirrors. Between the mirror lights, pods, and reverse lights I can almost get a tan with them on! It's such a game changer trying to load stuff and night with all...

Huh, guess we'll see what happens? My wife and I got food when we arrived, $30 bucks! We were both starving, or else we would've gotten food before we got there.

I was looking forward to the fall one but I heard from a couple people there won't be a fall auto fair this year; but next year they're going to make it a week-long event in the spring. Kinda bummed me out, but hopefully it'll breath some life back into the whole event.

They're Firestone Ride-Rites, and the cradles are from Daystar. I didn't want to have the bags hard mounted to the axle since I do get this truck twisted up from time to time; so far I love them. Daystar Air-bag cradles - Thuren Suspension

That's about how mine is, I feel like the past 3 years have just killed the paint. --------------- Drove it to the Charlotte Auto Fair today, noticed the AC compressor started chirping and rattling really bad, I think the compressor leaked out everything again; anyone got a link to the upgraded...

I wish I kept up with it better, but I've never been able to park it under cover so the paint on the roof and the hood is baked, not to mention the clear on the fender that's been an issue since I bought it. I'll get it repainted one of these days, although I'd really rather have the roof...

That's pretty much exactly how it went with me, I first noticed it at work; we had been doing a bunch of clearing around the fence line of the property, in the middle of the spring bloom and I felt like I was coming down with something. Definitely doesn't feel great to know it won't get better...

I swear ever since I had covid it gets worse every year, it never bothered me until I got sick in '21, now it's the slightest bit of pollen or other irritant and I'm sneezing or it feels like my face is swollen.

Took some time today and washed it, still need to scrub out the interior, it's a mess with pollen and I'm kinda tired of almost throwing my back out from sneezing.

Luckily the frames on my trucks aren't scaled up too bad, it wouldn't take too much to get them down to bare metal. The hardest part about doing this frame is going to be cutting off that damn plate and grinding the rails back smooth where they welded plates on the side

1996 CC K3500 dually “working classic”

I wanted to get this transmission built up as a "towing" spec transmission, and a local shop said the Raybestos kit would be perfect for my application. I've got plans to build a 454 for my red truck that's around 400 horse, 550-650 TQ; now if I'll actually get there remains to be seen but I'm...

    BNielsen's 2000 Chevy K3500

I must admit, I tossed around the idea of a SRW flatbed, a service bed, hell even turning it into a dually flatbed or a dually pickup; but I managed to score a decent bed that's the same color from a fellow forum member to replace this one, it's beat and full of bondo I was looking at those...
