    Dually mirrors...

Would love to see photos of which style mirrors you have on your dually. I have the 70's flags on my 89, but am thinking about swapping them out with a newer style. Mine are manual, would also like to see and hear about those who have upgraded to electric mirrors and what you did to power them.

    89 454 4 speed slave cylinder leaking

Second question....I noticed on the only video on YT that I found, the bleeding process seems to be the hard part once the slave is in. Can it be done on the truck without removing the master and line?

Removing air pump question on '89 454....

Eventually I want to add headers so the air pump will go the way of the trash. EGR will likely stay unless it creates a problem. Just want to clean up the compartment as much as possible. I know it doesn't drag much, that's not a consideration in a one ton dually really.

Removing air pump question on '89 454....

Timing should not change I am told. I'll ask my mechanic buddy and see what he says, but I've yet to hear of anyone having to change it.

Air Pump removal on '89 454

If anyone has done this, you've had to either eliminate the spot the air pump was on the serp belt or put a replacement 'idler' [for lack of the exact word] in it's place. can you show me what you did? Also for those who have taken out the air box and replaced with the V-6 air intake hose...

Removing air pump question on '89 454....

So thinking about the removal process...what goes in the place of the air pump once removed in the serpentine belt system on a BB 454? If there's nothing in that spot, what belt would I ask for? Thanks!

Permission granted to raid '92 dash instruments!

This one was free and I'll add a tach the old school way more than likely.

Permission granted to raid '92 dash instruments!

Yeah I pulled it out as far as I could then snipped each wire. I probably have about 3" behind the plug. When I snip mine I will get it right up next to the plug so I have a few inches of wire to work with. Got an expert mechanic that will be helping and we're going to follow the instructions I...

Permission granted to raid '92 dash instruments!

Cool thanks for the heads up. I need to snag the connector after work, didn't pull that. Is it hard to get out?

Permission granted to raid '92 dash instruments!

Got the cluster out in a short order, then the washer bottle transfer to my truck went swimmingly! Had to take a pic of the big block while I was at it.

Permission granted to raid '92 dash instruments!

Bummer....thought I had a shortcut. Story of my truck life. No worries though, still getting the cluster tomorrow. I hate the moonies, had them in my '87 S-10 Blazer 4x4.

Permission granted to raid '92 dash instruments!

Ok so I got the go ahead to rob the '92 next door of a few things. Most notably the gauge cluster in the dash. Knowing it is going to get grafted into the '89, should I pull the printed circuit behind it as well? If so, how do I go about doing that and what connectors will I need to save in the...

    Help With Grille/Brush Guard

I see so many of them I doubt anyone is looking for them. I hate chrome so they're gonna get cut and painted. Don't need the hoops or the bars, but I will retain the top and bottom bars. What I want is a black pushbar for each truck.

    Help With Grille/Brush Guard

I uploaded pic to the thread....weird. Both are in very good shape, one has two small areas missing on the rubber pads on the uprights...about 2" of each bottom. Here's the one ton guard. I will take a new pic in a few minutes and upload it. The one below has both sets of mounting brackets but...
