    Rear Glass Alignment Issues

Got the Tahoe back on the road (other issues) but I still have this rear glass issue. Water is getting in on the passenger side. I could replace the gasket, but I still think it will leak due to the gap I’m seeing. Anyone know the process for alignment? There’s no apparent past body or frame damage.

    Best flex head ratchet style?

Titan seems to have some unique items, like the shallow upsize socket adapters. Perfect for running 1/2” sockets on my 3/8” Milwaukee M12 stubby impact.

    Best flex head ratchet style?

Not a flex head, but I found these Klutch (Northern Tool) micro toothless rachets handy on occasion. For instance, I used it to get my brake booster out without removing the steering column. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200811197_200811197

    Which Pads?

Problem I’m having with THD is how to find MY brake parts - can’t filter by year/car. Looking for 10” shoes for 95 Tahoe 4WD. 246 to choose from just in Raybestos shoes, and not much in the description.

    Rear brake drums parts numbers

Thanks @Schurkey you may have turned my simple brake shoe job into a full rear end swap.

    New tools!

Can you set those pipe clamps up as a spreader, or does the threaded piece only go on one way?

    Rear brake drums parts numbers

No expert source here, but from what I can tell the 10” have one long spring straight across the top (under the cylinder). By deduction the 11” have two springs, one on either side canted. Or pull the wheel and the drum and measure??? I need confirmation as well so someone who knows please chime...

    Which Pads?

Wait, what! Home Depot has brakes? Does AutoZone have plywood?

    Which Pads?

So I guess DuraLast from AutoZone are not an option? About to change brakes for first time on my new-to-me 95 Tahoe. (Disclaimer: I have no idea what I’m doing.)

    Cap/Rotor/Ignition Wire

Does vented cap mean what it sounds like? I live in a high humidity area (SC) - would that invite trouble?

    New tools!

I got that same kit, but mine came in a Packout case. Sometimes I wish the driver didn’t start impacting so soon.

    New tools!

I have looked at those, but I’m thinking something more in the C-clamp size, where a bottle jack would be overkill. Good recommendation though - I can see where those would have several uses.

    New tools!

I didn’t get a new tool, but I want one. I find myself in occasional need for some generic pushing and pulling (or spreading and clamping) set. I have bar clamps and c-clamps, but I need something similar that will push or spread. Any idea of what I would even search for?

    New tools!

Love my stubby. It fits up in tight spaces and weighs nothing - good for that upside down work. I got the 3/8” drive and a Titan low profile drive adapter for 1/2”. Now they make a right angle impact... TAKE MY MONEY!

Cokeman95 nice TP you got there. Be a shame if someone wiped their a$$ with it.

    ENERGY SUSPENSION BUSHINGS OR STOCK?

I was looking at this master bushing kit for my 2 doe Hoe, so I could start changing them out a bit at a time, but I wanted to get them all at once (so they would “match”). I can’t find anything but the poly ones in a full set (see link). Does anyone sell a master set in rubber...

    Rear Glass Alignment Issues

EDIT: Sorry I posted this already in another category, but I can’t figure out how to delete. Hope I’m in the right category. 95 Two Doe Hoe with the tailgate/lift glass is having alignment issues causing seal problems. Drivers side looks perfect but the passenger side has about a quarter inch...

    Tahoe window seals??

east302 I took out the lifters and got it to hang where I wanted it before retightening the bolts. No effect. I see wiggle between the hinge plate on the window side, but it’s not due to the bolts being loose; it’s almost like the metal in the window frame is weak right there.

    Tahoe window seals??

Here’s some pics of my problem. Driver side good. Passenger side bad.

    Tahoe window seals??

The gap I’m noticing is mechanical I think - the actual window doesn’t flush with the body on one side. I was attributing it to the hinge which seems to have some movement where it connects to the glass frame. And yes, I believe I need to replace all the rubber back there. Maybe I should start...

    Tahoe window seals??

Nevermind. I found the nuts underneath the plastic trim. I loosened all 8 nuts and got the window positioned better, then tightened them up from the inside with the glass closed. Alas, it’s still not closing right - maybe the gas springs are pushing it out? But it’s just on the passenger side...

    Tahoe window seals??

I have a gap between the glass and weatherstripping on the passenger side of my rear liftgate glass (95 Tahoe 2 door). I’m attributing it to a loose hinge. I can’t figure out how that hinge is attached to the window frame. All I see is some flat circles, but they don’t have any sort of head that...

    The Stupid Engine Questions Thread

That little foam rubber seal behind the TPS doesn’t come with any kit I’ve bought. Not the TPS (crazy) and not the TBI rebuild kit. Like, why don’t fuel filters include o-rings?

    New tools!

Get on SlickDeals and set an alert for sales. They also have some other drool tools such as the right angle impact. M12 is no joke. MAKE SURE IT’S THE “FUEL” VERSION!!!

    New tools!

This is the way. I went with the 3/8 and got a low profile 3/8 to 1/2 adapter by Titan from Oreilly or Northern Tool. No difference in torque specs, just gives you the option of both sizes of sockets.
