    Instant orange peel.

Erik the Awful I never mentioned anything in my post about going out and spending hundreds of dollars in professional paint products, I said to use the proper products. Sure that might involve spending alittle more money then the stuff you can buy from the hardware store but issues like what the...

    Instant orange peel.

Yup same here until up here in Canada they started having binder shortages with Nason. So now I'm trying Montana Big Sky which is another 2nd tier product form Axalta. It seems good so far but haven't had alot of time with it.

    92 bagged project

Finally getting some time to get back on this project. Got the 454 all stripped of its parts, wasn't sure what I was gonna find but it's in great shape as far as I can tell and probably didn't need the full tear down but I like to have peace of mind. The motor has had a little work done to it...

    91 c3500hd chassis question

Thanks I'll check them out. The other thing I thought of to was possibly building a radius arm but I just don't know enough about the geometry of those to tackle it. So hopefully I can find something from WFO that I can make work.

    91 c3500hd chassis question

I have a question regarding front suspension on a 91 c3500hd with solid I beam axle. I am curious if there are any kits or if anyone has converted from leaf springs to a link style setup on these chassis or would it be something I would have to fabricate myself? A little background on the...

How to bag that truck of yours

Maybe running a triple convoluted bag like this might be a better route for you to go for the rear, it would handle the weight if you were to haul something and still gives you 10 inches of travel. Seen lots of 1 ton guys run triple convoluted bags on their truck. I have used those helper bags...

    Affordable 4-link kit?

I used this kit from Thor Bros. https://thorbros.com/4-link-kits/heavy-duty-xp-universal-parallel-4-link-kit-15-od It is definitely overkill for my 1500 but would probably be perfect for your 2500. They also have air management kits, step notch kits, airbags. Using a universal kit you will...

    65 Nova Gasser

Nice, I really like the 66 body style. I also have a 67 Chevelle ss that is in need of some major work so it's sitting in a corner right now. No money to put into at the moment.

    C notches

My c1500 has a slight bend where those notches would go. I dont have any pictures to show it and the bed is on the truck right now so can't get good pictures. The 3500hd frame I have in shop right now is straight.

    65 Nova Gasser

This is another project of mine that I have been working on in the meantime while I am waiting on parts for my obs. This was my uncles car before he passed away, bought it off my aunt and gonna finish it off. Needs new quarters welded on and some floor pan work but other than that car is in...

    Carbed 92 with fuel issues

It's definitely a mess and not really something I wanted to get involved in but I did. It has had the dizzy swapped out and looks like it had a engine swapped at some point. So am I best to tell him to rewire fuel pump like was previously mentioned. Anything we can do to get rpm signal from dizzy?

    Carbed 92 with fuel issues

Thanks for the help PlayingWithTBI Sender was bad so got that changed and it works like it's suppose now and actually runs. Regulator might be bad as well as it seems like it's getting too much fuel even though gauge only shows 2 psi. My buddy can now deal with the rest and have somebody tune it...

I have a tbi motor that I'll pull oil sender and put in and see if that works.

    Carbed 92 with fuel issues

It's the stock relay, all wiring is stock that I can see. They installed a new filter when they did the pump a couple days ago. If it's a bad regulator would it prevent fuel from coming up after its running? It gets fuel to the carb with just that 2 second prime when key is turned on.

    Carbed 92 with fuel issues

Yes it's still there and connected, oil pressure gauge and sender works fine as far as I know, it comes up as the engine turns over and when we had it running for the 5 minutes it was fluctuating as we were revving it up as per normal, I have tried wiggling every connection for fuel pump wires...

    Carbed 92 with fuel issues

So I'm helping a buddy out with his truck he recently bought. When he bought it, it ran and everything seemed fine. A couple days later after he got it home he went to start it and it wouldn't start, they tried a couple things and decided they thought it was the pump so they changed the pump...

    Clear coat bubbles

If it's worked out for you guys that's great, not gonna argue about it. This is what happens when a vehicle is not prepped properly prior to painting, I took a spreader to the whole truck and could scrape all the paint and primer off right down to the factory paint. Would this show up right...

    Clear coat bubbles

What Hipster said is the best way to repair it. Anytime trying to paint over that you are asking for issues in the future. If your plan is to not keep the truck for a long time or your not worried about what may happen in a few years time then you may get away with it but it isn't what I...

    Panel Bonding?

No need for all the conspiracy talk on here. Things change and you never know whats gonna happen in 10 or 20 years but that just means you have to adapt to changes. Sure things could be 100 percent different and no gas vehicles and all that but people will still want to modify there car...
