That was pretty much my plan, and I did find a pretty clean 99 Suburban, which is practically impossible here in northern Minnesota. I've been pretty disappointed with the interior fit and finish. Its really easy to work on but it seems like everything squeaks or rattles inside. It's a little...

    Door panel ?

Mine looked almost that bad and I used some upholstery cleaner to get them looking pretty good. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Hello from the soon to be frigid north.

The booster and master cylinder are replaced. It wasn't that tough. For some reason I was thinking the studs were much higher behind the dash than they are. If it wasn't for one being rusty, of course it was the hardest one to get on, it would have been a cakewalk but I have a wide assortment...

    00+ seats in an OBS?

The place I bought my seat cover from does too but I didn't k ow I needed it at the time or I might have just done it while I was in there. I figured I'd try to kill two birds with one stone as the seat belts are really starting to bug me. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I was going to dispute this but you said repaint. I've heard it's almost as hard as red to blend and match. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    00+ seats in an OBS?

I have a 99 Suburban and had to replace my seat bottom, the previous owner had used duct tape and was super surprised when I told them the part was only like $100 and takes like an hour or two to change. So I did that and while I was in there I noticed the seat heater element was toast so I...

They really had no idea what they were doing with that white paint did they lol. Great looking truck otherwise. Always loved those Z71 wheels, they look super good in black. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Hello from the soon to be frigid north.

I did find that amp and I removed it, I tried bypassing it but the wire colors did not match any wiring diagrams I could find so I used continuity to try and match up the speakers. Thinking about it now I may have introduced the short there. It won't matter when I run new wires to the speakers...

Hello from the soon to be frigid north.

Future plans are to freshen up all the fluids, get tow mirrors, probably do new lenses especially the headlights as they're garbage from the factory, and maybe look into swapping in seats from a newer truck with the seat belt built in. The original belts are in rough shape and they probably...

Hello from the soon to be frigid north.

My name's Josh, I live near Thief River Falls Minnesota, and last September I bought a 99 Suburban LT with nearly 240k miles on her for $1800. It's the first Chevy I have owned, but not the first I have worked on. I'm not a mechanic but I sold parts for about 10 years and have turned wrenches...
