'99 Chevy C1500 Suburban LS - "The Bus"

Not sure whom else here enjoys music as loud as I do...I play electric guitar, as such, I'm no stranger to volume. Here's my current amp rack located on the back of The Bus's third-row seat. Pardon the mess of wires - 'tis a work in progress. Top left is my subwoofer amplifier - a...

Missed with HVAC Parts Shotgun on '99 Suburban

All blower motor speeds now working. Turns out the auto parts store sold me the wrong relay - it had four terminals instead of five. Put the right part in and, voila! I am fully functional. Thank you, all, for your tireless assistance. It is greatly appreciated. :33:

Missed with HVAC Parts Shotgun on '99 Suburban

12 V is present on the yellow, light blue and tan wires at the blower motor resistor connector with different blower motor switch settings. It's always such a pain in the ass to unscrew and remove this damned resistor matrix... but, what else could it be?

'99 Chevy C1500 Suburban LS - "The Bus"

I stand corrected, good sir. Vehicles 20+ years old can have low mileage. As for The Bus, I drive...a lot. I transport myself and my better half to work. Additionally, we have four young adult children who always needed rides; until we got them a ride of their own. That was one of the smartest...

Missed with HVAC Parts Shotgun on '99 Suburban

UPDATE: Blower set on high is working, again. The positive lead wire wasn't on the motor, either due to my forgetfulness, vibration or terminal looseness. Going to investigate this new resistor as that seems to be where the problem may exist, by process of elimination.

'99 Chevy C1500 Suburban LS - "The Bus"

The Bus, about a year after acquisition. Purchased in 2019 for $2500. :fca5278e: I am the FOURTH owner of this beauty. Somebody, the seller I'm assuming, tried to roll back the odometer and screwed it up, permanently. :doh2: The title and the odometer read around 171,000 when I got her, with an...

Missed with HVAC Parts Shotgun on '99 Suburban

I harvested the blower motor switch from that unit and put it in circuit with no results before actually switching out to a new blower motor switch that worked - for a few hours. This no blowing heat in my truck is a real *****. It's been getting so cold at night I can't even stand to be...

Missed with HVAC Parts Shotgun on '99 Suburban

To Whom It May Concern: Recently, all of the illumination in my HVAC control head died. It was still functional, but I couldn't see it at night. I figured it was my fault - I probably damaged or broke something on the backside of the old control head when I was shoving it and a fire...

    '99 Suburban rear 4X10 to 6X9 speakers

You have to remove the original plates, cut the 4x10 holes to fit the 6x9 speakers and then reinstall the modified plates. Not for the faint of heart.
