    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

Y'all. This is it. THIS IS IT! She's now officially a light duty truck instead of a van! The single A4 holding some netherlanders autograph that cost me 350€ and took 8 weeks to arrive, has arrived and I took it to the local DMV equivalient to have her re-registered for the correct weight class...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

Otherwise I would be very much interested, but I've got a funny feeling the transport costs for a bench seat could rise a little high on the way over from the United states to Finland :anitoof: So we're gonna try and source that locally first, but thank you for the gesture! Oh and also I'm...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

Yea I've seen some of those drill brush and washervacuum thingy videos and I've been toying with the idea on the floormats, could just pull them out one by one and let 'em dry in the garage after I get the truck out. Now the rear seat was pristine and only had a little dust which got solved...

Yeeeah... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but it sure looks dim still :Big Laugh:

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

I've been putting off working on the old rig for a while now, been mostly just waiting for the documents to come swinging on in from my door but no luck yet. They probably haven't even sent them yet... So I set off to do some cleaning because she is still covered in grime on the inside and after...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

Wasn't nothing on the driver side at least, at least not as far as I could reach. The passenger side was a ***** because of the vacuum actuator and hwatnots in there blocking access, not to mention that I couldn't even get to that side of the truck, so can't say for sure, but I doubt it could be...

    GMC or Chevy Grille?

You sure can with a little bit of work :naughty:

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

It's funny really how it goes, music from here doesn't really cross the atlantic, but when it does, it does so with a genre defining bang, like the only band that really ever made it big was hanoi rocks. And best part is that because it happens out in the big world, people here still don't...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

Today I took the cowl open to see if the truck is leaking in from there, but surprisingly enough there wasn't too much stuff and I didn't find a spec of rust, which was weird... So this got me thinking, where the hell is it leaking from? Or is it really just bad condensation and lingering...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

On the wrenchability of these, I have to say the gmt400 is probably nicer to work on, but it's really close to a tie. While the squarebody has more space around the engine and you have more room to fiddle with things, it also means you have to reach in further than you would in a gmt400. At...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

I'm gonna blame it on the old belt. All of the belts actually, that was really just a matter of time, it was so dried up. Here's a picture of the powersteering belt that I noticed by accident... Was poking at something in the engine bay, can't remember what anymore, but my hand happened to hit...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

No, it is not. :Big Laugh: It looks tough, but **** me backwards with a telephone pole if I ever rammed anything with it, the mounting was just stupid, upside was brackets on the grille and at the bottom it was bolted through the bumper... I believe ya, I've fallen in love with this thing...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

Did my first mod today. I changed amber bulbs into the aux lights :Big Laugh: in all seriousness tho, they don't make them bulbs (BA9S 4W) in amber, so I had some amber film laying around and I wrapped the bulbs with that and a heatgun. If it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid, and now I...

    1989 V2500 Chevy Suburban

Hey y'all, I went and got a replacement for my GMT400 3/4 ton pickup. The problem I had with my '95 in daily driving conditions was the lack of rear doors and a proper backseat. So I got me a squarebody burban! She is filthy on the inside and covered in moss and rust on the outside. The...

    95 C2500 pancake

This thing is something else for sure! Sitting in felt like coming home, it was just magical in a way... She is dirty as hell, both outside and especially inside... Also she has a bit of a lean to the left, the leafs are just straight on the drivers side, passenger side still had a bit of a...

    95 C2500 pancake

Welp, sure has been quiet 'round here. Thought I'd give y'all an update on that and upcoming changes. Haven't got ole pancake sold yet, but I did come across a deal for another vehicle that I simply could not pass anymore, and will be picking it up this week. It's a 1989 V2500 Suburban with the...

    Hobbs 96 Z71 Build

No but did GMT800 already have automatic highs and which models, denalis? I know already is a little bit of a wrong wording considering how cadillac did it in the 50's or was it early 60's, but it didn't really catch on until the later 00's

That's a hell yes on the caps! And can there be too many GMT400's, if not for financial reasons? :Big Laugh:

    gstubbz's trucks

That was a hell of a deal you got, especially if the bolt was the only real problem with it! And I say go for it with the burban, get a little pep in the car and if you end up selling it (which I hope you won't, that is a really nice truck), you can pump up the price on it considerably.

'98 Busurban Storm Chase Vehicle Build

I gotta say that red sure tickles my butthole in all the right ways... But then again the dark blue just works, it looks really good and like mentioned above, ya don't have to worry about your underhood and door openings. Maybe stick in a little more flake to it to make it really stand while...

    95 C2500 pancake

It sure has been a learning experience, and a one to remember! The next truck will be something I'll likely be buried in, so I will definitely take all these experiences and at least try to learn from them :Big Laugh: And thank you all for helping me along the way, this forum has been and will...

    95 C2500 pancake

Well guys, it's about to be an end of an era, this thread is about to be laid low. I posted pancake up for sale. The extended cab is just too small because I regularly transport more than 1 person in the truck and the rear seat is just a pain in the ass to get to and stay in for anyone over...

Rusted out 92 k1500 rcsb. Need Advice.

Sheet metal's fixable and the frame don't look too bad, test it out with a pick, if it goes through, donor truck, if not, sand and paint. Rebuild suspension and you's good to go, I say if it's saveable, do it, these trucks are getting more scarce by the day!

    Squeaky driver door window

My driver door window too has a nasty squeak, although it isn't restricted to only wet weathers... I don't know what causes it, if I remember correctly, we greased the side rails when tampering with the inside door handle, but I might remember wrong, because if we did, it didn't fix the...
