    Leaky Suburban driving me crazy!

That is 100% what I have been dealing with. I notice that for the barn door one like mine it just says the new weatherstripping has a sealant in the channel. I might try to take the whole weatherstripping off and seal it again with new 3m sealant. I used a tube i had that was 2 or 3 years old so...

    Leaky Suburban driving me crazy!

Ok well I took 1 step forward and 2 steps back. I actually went ahead and pulled all the carpets out of my suburban (holy moly what a job) and got them finally dried out. The rubber padding was completely soaked in a lot of places. I threw water on the roof and found the 2 places it was leaking...

    Leaky Suburban driving me crazy!

I have a 99 Suburban that has water leaking in somewhere, its quite a bit actually, after a good rain I will have dripping condensation on my windshield. I have replaced the windshield and still have it. I think I have narrowed it down to the passengers side rear door where the top drip edge...

    99 suburban Fuel Filter question

I have a 99 Suburban that came with the 5.7 Vortec motor. I have Ls swapped it and initially used adapter fittings to mount my Fuel pressure regulator on my firewall behind my intake. The regulator I bought was not sufficient to hold back the pressure for my pump so I need to replace it, I want...

    Fuel Pump replacement questions.

There is a fuel pump prime connector on mine. Put 12v to that and it will run the pump. That’s how I drained my tank as well.

    Fuel Line Repair

So I am replacing my fuel pump in my 99 suburban. I got the new pump in but managed to mangle one of my quick disconnects while removing it. What is the best way to replace that hose end? and does anyone have the part number for the new fitting?

Whats a good Fuel pump upgrade

I have an LS Swapped 99 suburban and I got it all running but my fuel pressure at the rail is only 40psi so I am sure its my tired pump (247,000 miles) and I could probably replace it with a stock replacement. however i see that Walbro makes a 255lph drop in unit for around $200 Tu447hp and...

    No oil PSI after rebuild

Ok so I started it and boom right to 45#'s. I actually used the pressure pre-oiler first when I didnt see oil pressure the first time. I have an oil cooler on it though with 5/8 cooler hose so it was way to big to build pressure there unless running. Thanks for the help Guys!!!

    No oil PSI after rebuild

I think I know the answer to this but wanted to pick everyone's brain as to what could possibly be wrong. I rebuild my Gen 3 6.0 and went to go prime the motor with the starter with the coils and injectors unplugged. It never built any oil pressure. Gauge never moved. I am using an autometer...

    Priming a new engine

Got a 6.0 Gen 3 ls that I rebuilt. Getting ready for the first fire up and wanted to prime the oil system. the front oil galley plug is blocked by the power steering pump so I cannot readily access that one. Has any used one of the oil cooler lines to pressurize the system? Or is there another...

    Another D**n Catch can thread

I admittedly am horrible at searching but have read numerous threads on Catch cans, which by the way I know a lot more about! I am running a GEN3 LS engine with the NNBS intake and a Warr throttle body. My throttle body or CAI neither one have a vacuum port. My thought is to run the pcv valve...

If it were your truck ????

If it were mine, and god I wish it was! I would run a Holley HP engine management on it and put a set of PROMAXX cylinder heads. 2 things that make the LS so freaking awesome (warning personal opinions to follow) is the heads flow stupid high numbers from the factory and engine management is...

    Shifter Cable adjustment

I have a 99 Suburban and I have done an LS Swap to a 6.0. I am finishing up all the little stuff and have run into an issue. The gear selector cable seems to be too long now by about 1/4 inch. When Truck is in park and so is the transmission. I see where the cable goes up through the floor and...
