88-94 Interior Appreciation Thread

Gotta clean it up a bit, replace the sun visors and swap to a radio that fits right, but I like the wood. Thinking about pulling it all out and re-staining it a mahogany color. Btw, does anyone know how the wood is affixed to the door panels? My arm rest on the driver's side is buggered up...

TBI or carbs?

Figured out my problem with the truck dying when I turn the wheel at a standstill... WRONG F**KING SPARK PLUGS!!!! Somewhere in the truck's past, someone put in the wrong spark plugs, I'm assuming they were too cold and didn't sit far enough into the cylinder... Just swapped them out for NGK...

What is the correct ac Delco spark plug part number for a 350 TBI?? Asking because I just pulled out an AC Delco R43TS plugs, and every cross reference I find says that those aren't for my truck...

There's a lot I still have to learn, I don't even know how to tell what trans I have. According to a sticky I was reading, I should have the old non-electronic style 4L60, based on the trucks year, but I really don't know. It may have been swapped out when the "conversion package" was put in...

It does a bit. The "lead on a kit" I mentioned is a friend of mine has a similar truck, another 92 with a 350 in it. He bought a kit that included a new intake, a 4 barrel carb, dummy sensors, etc. Decided to go a different route and just rebuild the truck to stock. So he's looking to get...

Well... For starters, I don't know much about the TBI system, and what it's capable of... I'm more familiar with carbs. I just want some more torque, and get as much as I can out of stock internals for now. This will also be my DD, but I'm not concerned about mpg... Used to own a Mazda...

That's gorgeous! I was thinking on how I could pull it off, and chopping two grills was all I could come up with too... Figure some epoxy/fiberglassing, with some reinforcing should do it. Just has to withstand vibration. If it's a custom thing, I'll see what I can do to provide a write up...

Does anyone have a lead on a Chevy style grill that would fit a 92 that does NOT have a mounting spot for the emblem, or is this something I'd have to try and custom build/modify? The rest of the truck has no badges, I'd like to try to delete this last one.

So, got a 92 5.7 TBI... Got a lead on a kit to swap it to normal carbureted. Opinions? And should I keep it TBI, is there anything I can do to get better performance outside of what's in the sticky thread?

Thanks for the heads up guys. She seems to be in great condition for the age. No rust anywhere, well aside from the usual surface rust on the under body metals... Seems leak free motor wise, only time I've ever seen a block this dry on the outside is with a brand new vehicle lol I do have...

Hi all, very new here. Just this weekend, I purchased my first truck. A '92 extended cab C1500. Trying to learn as much as I can as quick as I can. My truck needs some work, but I love it. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for with these trucks? Common problem areas, etc?
