Thanks! yeah definitely monster trucking right now. I don't know if it's in my head or what but when I drive it, I feel like I'm nose diving lol. Prepping is the worst part of paint jobs ha! The v6 isn't doing it for me, it feels super sluggish and because I have no self control, I'm on the...

Thank you! Yeah it really pops in the sun. So I got the truck home and it sat in the garage for a bit. Got the conversion done from W/T lamps. Threw them in there. Needed to wait on my LED bulbs to arrive so I jumped to putting the door handles and door panels back together. My LED...

Clearly I had no choice but to see what it looked like with the grille on. Now it's a truck. Then I loaded it all up and took it home. I have a baby due any minute now so I'll be taking a week off from work. During that time I'm gonna tinker with it and try and wrap up all the small things.

So it got moved around for a bit, while I ordered up parts and waited on things to fall in line. My new tail lamps showed up, so I slapped those on. Also got some smooth handles, new emblems, new tailgate handle, bed caps and mirrors.

It's been awhile since I updated this, so I'll catch it up. I had to move it out of my old shop and to my new shop, so I had to throw the bed back on and move it before the paint was complete. That sucked.

I really wanted to go straight to air, but I knew it would just keep snowballing from there. I have to learn how to stop haha. I think 4/6 is what i'll be going with.

I hope so, haha. Thanks, I am not sure yet. I'm debating on going with 20s or 22s, and that'll dictate my drop. The "cool guy" in me wants to go as low as possible, but I want to be able to drive this thing everyday to work without worrying if that crack in the road is going to rip something...

Yeah, It's GM Siren Red, 405Y paint code. It's the same paint color my 2017 Silverado is.

Wish I could take credit, I used to do this stuff on my own but now I got my guys doing it. I will be doing all the suspension and other crap. I'm a manager of a body shop, mostly collision work.(corporate shop)

Pulled the truck outside and cleaned the frame up a little. I want to hit this with some black frame paint before I do the lowering.

It's been a couple weeks in these photos. I tried real hard to learn to love that w/t grille, because you're right, it does make it unique. But I just couldn't do it. I'll be throwing a Chevy emblem on this GMC grille.

Tore it down. The gnarly dent started to get pulled. Bodywork being done. Ordered new front and rear bumpers. Didn't want holes in the front bumper, so they got filled. Popped the bed off. Lots of dirt caked onto the frame.

The next day I ran it through a car wash and then cleaned the interior. I don't think I've ever seen so much dirt INSIDE a truck before, I should've taken photos. The pics are after I gave it a quick clean.

Hello people. I was on the look out for a daily driver to work type vehicle. I wanted something basic I could just drive back and forth to work in. I've had several 88-98s over the years, mostly during 2008-2012. So I decided it was time for another one. I was cruising Facebook marketplace, I...
