Misfires are 1 2 4 8. Firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2. So the misfire sequence is the firing order on last to next 3, and 2481 are on one side of distributor cap closest to screw. Next plan is do change distributor cap. In the forums here and others I saw that it can become crappy due to it...

Also it eats gas, misfires and pops sometimes. Heats up fast even with new thermostat. Brakes are iffy sometimes like a vacuum issue, same for power steering, they act up sometimes or not at all. But heard a ping from the underside today. Hope it's nothing bad.

Might try fuel pressure regulator, did clean up distributor connectors when had pulled out for intake gaskets install. Only has 106k miles, bought it over 5 years ago with 65k.

I was leaving work one night and barely five miles from work I down shifted to get onto a freeway ramp, lost power, starting missing, rough idle in higher rpms. Codes showed running lean bank...

    Expensive trouble shooting

I have a 2000 k2500HD with 7.4 vortec. 3 weeks ago while leaving work, like 5 miles away, I down shifted, nv4500 manual, to get into the on ramp of a highway. Immediate misfire, shaking, sputtering, loss of power, and became a massive fuel dumper as well. No engine light, throwing passenger side...
