    Is this a common swap that you 4.3 owners do to have a straight down positioned filter? I know the v8 guys and gals do it to eliminate the oil cooler and lines but I already don't have them. Mine is leaking like crazy so when I have it off I wanted to convert. Thanks in advance!

    I thought I read somewhere that the bellhousing was specific to 95 so you may be right. But it's still a TBI with "vortec" on the valve covers. I have experience with earlier non vortec engines and also 96+ vortec WITH the spider. So hopefully this in between engine style proves to be decent lol
