    I thought about doing the jb weld treatment but because of the extent of the pitting it would be very difficult to get it right. I paid 100 for it so it's not the end of the world, I guess I'll just hope that the intake that's in the truck now is in much better condition.

    I think I'll run Pennzoil 5w-30 conventional for the first couple oil changes (500 miles or so) because that is what Chevrolet recommends.

    The crate motor comes with a new distributor, flexplate and balancer. I will definitely do the o2 sensors since one is bad anyway. I'm not sure about the AIR pump, I don't believe it has one but I'll look into it.

    '98 cruise control problem

    It seems that the cruise control only works when the truck is cold. I replaced the multiswitch a few months ago and the cruise worked fine after that but within the last month stopped working except when I first jump in and drive. Any ideas?

    I haven't ordered the engine yet. I'm getting ready to put the truck in storage for the winter. Unfortunately I won't have the garage space to do the swap over winter, gonna have to wait until spring.
