    Another TBI running rich

My truck has the EXACT same issue. Here's to hoping you've figured it out!!

    engine cranks, won't start.

If the engine was running fine why were you messing with the timing? It sounds like you unplugged the ICM. Pull the #1 spark plug, ground it out, and have someone crank the engine. If it doesn't spark then your ICM is either unplugged or has failed.

    Factory Steelies & Hubcap Question

They're just standard 16" Chevy rally wheels. You can find them just about anywhere.

    RCLB K2500, K3500 Differences?

Just an FYI, the heritage center document is scuffed on the max trailer weight for the K2500 HD. At a swap meet I found a hard copy of the document (but didn't buy it because the guy wanted $25 and wouldn't budge. . . .). The max trailer wt (tongue trailer) for a 8600GVWR K2500HD is 9,500 lbs...

    RCLB K2500, K3500 Differences?

If you're comparing the 6 lug 2500 to the 3500 (8 lug standard) then there are a lot of differences, including the frame itself. However, when you put an 8-lug 2500 next to a 3500 it gets a little murkier. The frames are the same, you could order the 2500 with the same springs/etc. Heck, the...

    Is it worth getting TPMS?

I'd pass. You can feel when a tire is dangerously low, and if you check them regularly like you do your fluids then it's just $200 leaving your pocket.

    ?? 10 Bolt - 12 Bolt - 14 Bolt ??

Don't worry about the extra weight, just think of it as traction.

    ?? 10 Bolt - 12 Bolt - 14 Bolt ??

If the local 14-bolt is in good shape I'd lean towards doing that. There are certain areas where overkill isn't a bad idea (brakes, rear end, etc).

Plasti-Dip or Bedliner for the lower body panels?

plasti-dip is quick but doesn't hold up, rocks will chip it. If you're wanting to do a coating then go with the bedliner, although if moisture gets behind it the panel will rot away and you won't notice it until it's too late. They make adhesive stainless steel panels that are cut to fit the...

Growling noise in 4x4 - axle or wheel bearing?

My guess would be the CV joints. Had a similar issue in my jeep and that was the culprit.

Nice. Good luck with the sale!

    Value of our trucks

A little detailing work would do wonders on that truck, even with the paint in the condition its in. Buff the headlights, spray out the floor mats, give everything a good wipe down.

    Value of our trucks

So, for what it's worth I got my truck appraised for insurance purposes (stated value coverage FTW!) about a week ago. It appraised for $7,500 and I was told to bring it back in 2 years when I get antique tags because the value should increase. Reputable appraiser, in the business for the past...

    Wow, that's crazy :/

Bolts, Screws, Washers and what not

I'd start at the shop that took the thing apart. I wouldn't have accepted the truck in that condition, because now you have no recourse to make them supply the hardware because "you took it home as is."

    Help please!!!???!!!???!!!

Fuel, air, spark. You're getting the first 2, so check for the third. pull the #1 spark plug and ground it to the block. turn the engine over and have someone look for the spark (much easier in the dark).

Advice Needed: New Crate Engine Options for 1992 K2500?

To answer your question - stick your head under the rear bumper and count the bolts on the diff cover, if you count 14 then you have a 14-bolt. With the transmission it all depends on how you drive. If you're mashing the gas and leaving 11's at every stoplight then yes, you will tear a 700R4...

Advice Needed: New Crate Engine Options for 1992 K2500?

I imagine the stock rear would be fine, 14 bolt right? I'd consider putting 4.10 gears in it if it doesn't already have them (makes tugging things a little easier).

Advice Needed: New Crate Engine Options for 1992 K2500?

If you're just using it as described even replacing it with a "stock" crate engine such as this one would be an improvement over what came in it. http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/crate-engines/small-block-350-290-hp I don't see a situation where the 383 would be any more than overkill if...

heh. . .my gut answer is swap to a carb, then you can tune all you want and with the right set up get comparable gas mileage.

Trip Odometer quit - Will later years work?

There are a few places that will fix your trip for you (some are online but there's usually local places too). Usually what happens is one of the little plastic gears inside strips out, so a used cluster would likely do the same thing after a while. Dealt with the same issue on my camaro ('83)

That cam also works well with fastburn aluminum heads (which are vortec as well).
