    Forged lower control arm bushings

    Before I got my shop press, I did mine (1998 K2500 Cheyenne 7.4L) with a heavy bottle jack and a strong door jam. I laid the jack on its side and used the door frame combination as a hydraulic press. It slid right in. I shimmed it just like you would on a vertical press.

    I bought a 1998 K2500 with a bad NV4500. I rebuilt the NV4500 and used the synthetic GL4 Amsoil. The synchronizing material on 4 and 5 were gone. Using the right oil is key to longevity.

    Schurkey--how would a camshaft position sensor be able to identify the misfire if it's not part of the firing? In other words, if the CKP sensor controlled the firing of the injectors, why couldn't the CKP sensor detect the misfiring as well?

    I am replacing my fuel pressure regulator, so I am taking the opportunity to replace the intake gaskets and camshaft position sensor, cap, and rotor. Is there anything else that needs to be addressed while in there? Fuel rail? Thanks

    Help - I have an 1985 C10 4.3L missing a bracket.

    Trying to keep this truck as original as possible. I am missing a mounting bracket for my smog/air pump which is mounted on the passenger side next to the fuel pump. Can anyone post some pictures of the bracket?

    RichLo, I have 4 trucks (2 Toyota and 2 Chevy) that I'm restoring and can't keep them all, so whichever sells then I'll keep one. I do like the '98 4X4--it rides great--gas mileage not as great LOL
