    Unknown Bracket from 2002 Avalanche 5.3 Vortec.. Where does it go??

    Looks like the the bracket that goes around the power steering hoses. It bolts to the back of the pump and wraps around to the front to hold the hoses away from the steering box.

    Eh. Took a little whittling. The old knob is hard to get off. It snaps on, I used a small screwdriver to pry it off. You have to open up the hole in the new knob with a dremel to make it fit over the shaft snuggly. I had to cut about 1/2” off the shaft sticking out of the headlight switch. It...

    Got it done a few mins ago! Looks a hell of a sight better than it did. Considering I didn’t do anything to the black it looks pretty good. Couple of small waves. I’m satisfied for now! Now on to cab lights and this brake conversion, and rear end swap! My son approves!Finished!

    What camper? Lol! It pulls it pretty good. It weighs 5000lbs dry. Granted I haven’t been on any mountain excursions, but I don’t think it would have any problems. 70-75 down the highway in overdrive, with tow/haul on. Doesn’t shift down very often. If it gets hilly I drop it to 3rd.

    The booster not working would just result in a extremely hard pedal. It would not cause the bleed off problem your having. They are not directly connected to the hydraulics of the braking system. It just assists in applying the necessary pressure to the master to stop the truck efficiently.
