what automatic transmission would be in a 1995 GMT400

What would the most likely automatic transmission in a 1995 GMT400 with a 5.7l v8. The guy thinks it is a 700r4. It won't shift past 2nd gear. I have not gone and looked at it yet, but the price looks right. It is a ecsb step-flare side truck. I was looking for a SCSB truck, but I have opened my...

    99-07 HD hood on GMT400

I want to do that. Folks here said '08 and up hood mated to a GMT400 hood is what you do... A good body shop should be able to do that. Aftermarket, good hoods are not a bad price. $150 up for a steel hood. Salvage yard might be cheaper, BETTER?. only problem with that is the yards want to sell...

    Anyone have their seats reupholstered

Anyone have their seats reupholstered, and repaired? I have looked at several decent trucks, but the seat's were trashed, worn, ripped, drivers side bolster bad etc. Carpet is not a big deal. Door panels need to be good. most of the dashes have been good.. Just the seat SCSB RCSB whatever the...

    lowered truck.

Does anyone add front or rear sway bars or anything else to make the handling of the trucks better? Sticky tires? I don't mean DOT autocross tires. At one time Goodyear made PolyGlass Tires that were very hard, as Firestone made some soft tires. I used to autocross and track race on asphalt...

    Hd hood gmt400

Some of the replacement hoods are not a bad price. OEM off of a salvage truck most likely would be the way to go.. It's not like I need the extra engine compartment highest.

    Hd hood gmt400

I wonder it their are more pictures of a hood like that? I could get that done. It is not gaudy or real tall like a cowl induction hood.. I have had those too, ram air and others on things,

    Truck axle interchange

Try baking soda and water on your mold.. vinegar, bleach as a last resort, tea tree oil is supposed to work. I have used baking soda, and vinegar, your inside may smell a little like BBQ sauce then.

WT Work Truck vs All the rest?

Most people would never know about being a badges being 454 SS only trim piece... it goes real nice with the red truck. I do like the 454 SS wheels.... I don't want anyone to think I have a 454 in my truck... Unless I put pops 454, th400 from his old 73 GMC.. lol. I wonder if the 12 bolt rear...

    92 stepside, worth rebuilding?

Not a thing wrong with a bench seat.. Looks like it could be a nice truck... I like it... Sell it on here first. DO NOT SCRAP IT.. Some one will want it for a real price... Motor or no motor. But that's just my 2 cents, you can keep the change. lol

    Wood bed floor?

I think a step side might work better, and look better. Not the most practical thing to do, but mine is not going to be a work truck or farm truck. I already own those... Play toy.

WT Work Truck vs All the rest?

I have had power door locks only on a truck, when you could just do that... Don't get wrong I like power windows, and key-less entry, But I still like full rubber mats. I live in town but have a place the country, with gravel roads, cattle and such. pull a trailer with hay.. Still a country boy

WT Work Truck vs All the rest?

What is the difference between the WT and other models? I bought a 76 Scottsdale New and I liked some most of how it was equipped . Manuel windows, Rubber floor mat, It had full out side trim IIRC. Seems like their were a few differences. So is a WT basically like this? Or what would be...

    2wd build ideas

A good friend had a 65 Impala SS 396 painted this GM factory color "Evening Orchid" Pontiac called theirs "Iris Mist" Same color. Looks close. But that had to be single stage enamel paint I would think. IIRC it was a 2 year color.

My brother-in-law had a step side in that color... I really came to like that color. i think it had the same wheels. We used to kid him about the girly color of his truck. A local young lady bought it new, and he bought it when she traded it in.. V6 Ditto what BerHntr said... You have a sweet...

    Saw a 95 RCSB Cheyenne

Cheyenne, Scottsdale, and Silverado were trim levels. I had a 1976 Scottsdale that I bought new. If memory servers me correctly it had full trim on the outside, it was a single color, red... BUT it had a rubber floor mat instead of carpet , which were great as I always went home on the weekend...
