    NP241 behind an Allison

b454rat, Thank-you very much for the images. I created an account with CK5 so should be able to see them soon. I got my shaft ordered so should be able to play with that soon! Supercharged111, I know I really should start to update my build thread. I'll be honest though mechanically the...

    NP241 behind an Allison

That’s really good to know and Thank-you for the confirmation that a input shaft out of a NP261XHD or NP263XHD will work, I’ll have to get one ordered. Would you happen to have any pictures of the spacer you made?

    NP241 behind an Allison

Andy, Yea I guess I should probably start a build thread or find the old one when it was still a 6.5. b454rat, that would be great if you could find that post as I would like to make it work

    NP241 behind an Allison

Hello everyone, I’m in the process of swapping a LB7/Allison combo into my 1995 Chevy k2500 that originally had the 6.5/4l80e. I was wondering if I could make the old NP241 transfer case work properly? Everything works except the input shaft is a 32 spline and a Allison has a 29 spline output...

    Post Your Long Beds!!!

Never knew this thread existed and had to contribute! Right before I put her away for the winter had to stop at the local dealer to pick up a few things and found its sister! 1995 GMC K3500 6.5 Diesel, 135K miles. Only difference the its a GMC and had a 5 speed with red interior. Unfortunately...

    Factory Keyless Entry

If this has been covered here before please forgive me and could someone please help me find the existing tread and if not I would like to know if it is possible to add factory keyless entry to my truck. I have a 1995 Chevy K2500 with the Silverado package so I have power windows and locks...

14 bolt FF G80 stuck in posi

Alright so an update... I tried tapping on the carrier while I had a friend spinning the wheels however no luck, still engaged. So I figured since my axle shaft flange seals were weeping I would remove them both and see if anything out of the ordinary was going on there. Everything looked like...

14 bolt FF G80 stuck in posi

I will definitely try that. My truck has locked and unlocked before just fine too thats why Im was kind of shocked. Its a low mile truck so hope some fresh fluid does some good. I know its a G80 but I though they were pretty stout in a 14 FF. Okay I didn't know for sure. I didn't put any...

14 bolt FF G80 stuck in posi

Today I took my truck to school for the first time in over 3 months (updates coming on build thread) and when I left school I managed to chirp the tires when I took off from a red light (didn't intend too). I initially didn't think anything of it because it was raining and my Firestone...

    99Burbs '95 Chevy 2500 RCLB

Thanks for the comments! I should have some more progress coming relatively soon. Just finished up the passenger side and have fenders on order! Also starting to remove the upper and lower intake would anyone happen to have the torque specs and sequence?

    99Burbs '95 Chevy 2500 RCLB

I really wanted to test my new doors to see how they looked with the new rockers and cab corners and I can't wait to see it finished soooo much better than it was... That is where it is now except I took the doors back off, just a waiting new door pins and springs. Since I have the bed...

    99Burbs '95 Chevy 2500 RCLB

Well of course since the box came off I got excited that it was really happening so I didn't get a whole lot of pictures of the process but here is just about how it looks now... Since then I found more rust on the passenger fender so that has been removed. Only being 17 I have never really...

    99Burbs '95 Chevy 2500 RCLB

Around the same time I did remove the front bumper/brush guard just to see how it looked. Also added a lower valance I had laying around so it didn't turn out too bad... Another thing I always wanted was cab lights! After getting an OE harness off a fellow member and a set of GM lenses and...

    99Burbs '95 Chevy 2500 RCLB

Since my truck came with a solid rear window I went on the hunt for a rear slider, and long story short I ended up getting a CR Laurence power slider. I know in a regular cab it is kinda pointless but I figured it would be neat to have. Also scored a tool box for $40! For this whole build I...

    99Burbs '95 Chevy 2500 RCLB

So after a couple days of owning it, I had to at to least paint the rear bumper for now and remove that ugly topper. Give it a nice bath too... Must have been at least 1/4" of caked hydraulic fluid or something under the bed liner but that definitely helped preserve it...

    99Burbs '95 Chevy 2500 RCLB

I have been wanting to start a build thread for my truck a while now so here it goes...last fall I picked up my truck which is a 1995 Chevy K2500 with the 6.5 Diesel (I know most dislike but so far has treated me decent) and the 4l80e trans. As long as I can remember I have always wanted a...

    Factory 8 lug center cap

I plan getting this set of these rims from a co-worker, I don't know the exact specs of them yet however I do know is they are a 16" rim made by American Racing rims and have the gm bolt pattern. I was wondering what would it take to allow them to except my factory chrome bowtie center caps...

Remanufactured Jasper NP241 or let local shop rebuild?

Kirth, personally I would rebuild your own or find a low mileage used one...the reason I say this is because at work we often don't rebuild big drivetrain parts like this so we end up replacing with Jasper products and 9 times out of 10 they come back and have to be replaced again because of a...

    Possible New Truck

Thanks for the response but I did end up letting that truck go, it needed much too much work and I didn't have the time or want to get it going. However this past October I located my dream truck and when it starts getting warmer I will start doing updates and creating a build thread. I bought a...

    Possible New Truck

Thank-you all for the responses. To answer a few of your questions... I would be towing a 18' trailer with a few garden tractors or a small compact tractor. I wouldnt be pulling anything over 7000lb guaranteed. The owner sent me some more pictures of the body and frame. They both are in good...

    Possible New Truck

I did end up posting it in the wrong spot the first time so please delete my other post if necessary. I have been looking on and off for a cheaper GMT400 and ran across this one Saturday. It is a 2000 GMC K3500 RCLB with 196,000 miles, 5.7l and 4l80e. The truck has been sitting for 2 years...
