How long did your 4L60E last?
My 98 burban started to whine this morning too on the way to work. It is turning 315s for tires but I don't know gear ratio yet. Was gonna swap to 4.10s or 4.56s after Christmas so I'm just using it for light driving around town at the moment. But the whining is just after you slack off...- Diminus

Hellwig rear swaybar
Are the sway bars that important on these trucks or do you guys just tow a lot? I removed it from the burban when I lifted it. Seems to handle fine but if people recommend it IL fire that bad boy back in with new longer links .- Diminus

Lifting 94 C1500
That's a nice clean looking truck. What I always did befor driving my rigs to get alignment done was use 4 1 inch blocks and string. Set the string by placing it all around all 4 tires in the centre . Bring it all tight so it's snappy like a chalk line lol. Then place 2 blocks at centre of rear...- Diminus

Yeah I painted all the bare metal edges from the cutting then gave the underside a good coat of bedliner before placing back down. I cut hatches in every rig I ever had.Easier to hide with trucks though because usually the plastic bed liner just hides it as if it were never there haha- Diminus

I pay like $1.36 a litre for diesel for my 12 valve cummins the burban gets gas at a lovely rate of $1.31 a litre. God I love northern isolated community's up here in Canada lol I got 2 block heaters wired up in the cummins runs 0w40 full synthetic in winter but once it goes below -40 celsius...- Diminus

I just lopped off my stock muffler and tailpipe on my 98 burban with 350 vortec. Put a cherry bomb extreme duel in duel out on it and dumped it in front of axel and left in the cats. It's pretty quiet at idle which is good for my neighbors when I go to warm it up at 5am this winter. But once... -
