    Btw when i got my alignment done the guy was nice enough to hook is live data up and with some small movement of dist i got the cmp set to between 0 and 1 but we had to rush before he opened shop that morning. And truck still cranked hard afterwards. Maybe my starter is just getting heat soaked?

    So i know you need a scan tool that reads live data and the cam position and the vortec need to be set at 0*tdc - 2*tdc. Now i hate to take my truck to the dealer to set this i was wondering if anyone knew if anyone sold a scanner that reads the cmp? That isn't going to brake the bank lol...

    350 Vortec loosing coolant?

    so no leaking from reservoir tank or the line from it to the radiator? my buddy's tank had a crack so when engine gets hot while driving and tank filled up some would leak it out going down the road when it cooled and pulled antifreeze back to radiator it wouldn't leak.

    There's only so many places it can go. I'd check oil for milky-ness if not going in oil then it is either leaking or burning it. Did you check to see if heater core is leaking? Also did you top off using antifreeze or water?
