When I got my truck it had a mis matched set of steel wheels. I quickly swapped them out for mid 2000's style 5 spoke steel wheels and didn't think about them again. But the new ones are only 6.5" wide and look like they are tucked way in under the fenders on a narrow track. And I guess it...

Leak behind blower motor - what to tear apart next?

Left a hose running on the roof and finally saw my leak in person. Stream of water running down the passenger side firewall centered behind the blower motor housing. Took off the cowel pieces and I don't see where it might be coming from from the outside . Don't want to waste time taking apart...

97 3500 - new stock brake master cylinder or upgrade to NBS

Was looking around under my dash yesterday and the brake pedal plunger assembly had a few dark colored drops dripping off of it on the passenger side of the firewall. In other cars this has indicated I need a new brake master cylinder. If I have to buy one anyway which way should I go - stock...

How to "prove" to the inspection mechanic no airbags on 9000 gvwr

I've got a 97 C3500 Cheyenne CCLB. When I got it at 183k, from a metal building construction company, the vinyl steering wheel was ugly and disgusting. So at the U-Pull-It junk yard I found a leather (or leather-like) GMT400 wheel, maybe out of a Suburban, I forget, with the airbag center/horn...
