    $600 2000 C3500 CCLB

Dually conversation? Do it! I’ve been slowly converting mine for the last year.

    New here from Gallatin, Tennessee

Beautiful truck. Just the way I wanted mine to look. When you did the 4” drop in the back, did you do the front and rear hangers and did you take out any Leaf springs. Mine sits higher than yours with my 4” drop.

    $600 2000 C3500 CCLB

I just went thru all 80 pages of your build and it’s awesome! I just recently picked up a 99 for $1000 that I plan on converting to a dually. Thanks for the inspiration.

    96 C3500 RCLB aka Stumpy

It’s looking sweet! Love your updates. Looks like I wasn’t the only one doing a w/t front end swap this weekend. I went with the GMC grill though. Unfortunately my single cab dually is being used as a parts truck for my crew cab build now.

    Dual Exhaust Question

I’m running duals on my 93. It’s a 305 with hooker headers, dual 2.5 inch pipes, no cats, thru two black widow venom 250 mufflers with turndowns at the rear end. No H pipe or X pipe. One problem I have is not enough back pressure. I get an EGR code everytime I drive it.

    91 silverado dash panel

The only issue I had with using the 88-91 dash is where the plug for the instrument cluster slides in is different from the 92-94. I had to cut a square in the dash to slide the plug thru and just press it into the gauge cluster. So far it hasn’t backed out.

    Crank No Start

Have you confirmed that the rotor is spinning on the distributor? I’ve had two distributors on two different vortec engines eat the gear teeth off.

    350 or ls swap?

I’m currently swapping a 4.3 to 305. It’s mostly been a straight forward swap. There are a few things you will have to get off of a v8 truck that you aren’t able to swap over from the 4.3. The guys at the u-pull it know me well now.

c2500 to c3500 front dually conversion

The spindles on the C2500 and C3500 are the same. I converted my C2500 to a dually but I had the donor truck right next to it while doing the swap. While I was at it I did a 3/4 drop so I just used the lowering spindles. Everything was a direct bolt on.

They are Alcoa’s. 22.5s cut down to 22s. Tires are 265-40-22. This is one mutt of a truck. Parts from 1500s to 3500HD trucks. It has a 3-4 drop currently. Sorry, I need to elaborate. The truck was originally a 2500 w/t. I converted it to a dually and had the gears swapped from the 3/4 ton...

Yes, it’s a single cab dually.

My 95 has 3.73 gears. Wish it had 3.42s since it’s a diesel and 5 speed.

    GMT400s in the Movies

My favorite is the 88 single cab dually in the replacement killers!

Regular cab longbed 4" rear drop

I had to notch the bed mount on both sides to get the DJM hanger to fit. I taped the nuts to a wrench to get between the gas tank and frame.

    Rear brakes locking

I was having the same issue on my C3500. Put new shoes, hardware and brake cylinder and it still would lockup. Ended up being my drums were slightly warped. Had them turned and no more issues.

I think I have a sickness. Just picked up the white 96 for $300. 305 with a five speed. In the back ground is a white 93 3500 dually, a teal 97 crew cab 3500 dually I used building my 95 single cab dually, pewter 98 extended cab that's about stripped to nothing. I'm thinking of making a crew cab...

    Interior conversion

I really don't remember. It's been over a year since I've done it. I would just match the drill bit to the size of bolts you use.

What sort of look I want

Do the dually conversion. That's what I did with mine, but mine was a 3/4 ton and I had a donor truck. I'm running a 3-4 drop. 3" spindles in front and hangers and shackles in back. No c-notch. If you run a flip kit, a bolt in c-notch is a must and you will have to notch the bed support above...

    Interior conversion

I did the exact same swap in my dually. Wasn't hard at all. Did have to drill 4 holes in the floor for the inside tracks. The outside tracks bolted in the existing holes.
